Itās becoming more of a tradition each year. And if you are in the Toronto area you can celebrate by joining Best Buy for a new Family Day weekend event. On February 19th and February 20th, Best Buy Canada is organizing an epic weekend event in Toronto so you can share a memorable experience with your loved ones. From live graffiti artwork to interactive tech nostalgia chalkboards, there will be something for everyone, so join us for an unforgettable Retro Tech Ice Disco.

Gather your loved ones and join us at the Bentway in Toronto on February 19th and February 20th for an epic Family Day. There will be a DJ booth powered by Best Buy Tech to set the ambiance for a day of fun and skating, and various activities for everyone to enjoy.
Watch as local graffiti artists paint original pieces live by the ice rink, play with interactive tech nostalgia chalkboards, and capture memories with your family at the photo-worthy installations. When it’s time to take a break from the ice, visit the health & fitness tech zone to relax and recharge. There will also be giveaways each day for attendees so make sure to join in the fun!Ā

Opportunities to spend time with your loved ones can be few and far between. Why not start a new tradition for Family Day this year to look forward to every February? If you’re going to join us at the Bentway, ice skating could become a new tradition for your family. Or, if you live near mountains, you might like to go skiing or snowshoeing on Family Day to make the most of the Canadian winter days. If you’d rather spend the day indoors, playing a new board game every year might be a fun activity everyone would enjoy! Or, you and your loved ones could also enter one of our contestsĀ for a chance to win the latest and greatest tech!

We love to watch movies, so an all night movie marathon of our favorite movies.
We love to get outdoors – even in winter temps – would love to make skiing or skating a tradition we do each year for Family day! and some hot chocolate as a reward for being out.

I’d love to go Ice skating and teach the younger kids 4 and 6 yrs old in the family how to Ice skate as a Family. Then afterward back home teaching and making a family dinner together. In turn, teaching everyone how to make a home-cooked meal. A great way to build independence

It’s so important to me to spend good, fun, quality time with my family.. especially my grandchildren. A great tradition would be to ensure we are ALL together on Family Day.. I’d love to go tobogganing with everyone and finish the day with hot chocolate, homemade goodies and maybe even a pajama sleepover on the livingroom floor watching a good family movie. Making memories is so much more important than showering them with gifts.. the memories are what they will keep with them forever…

We plan on playing some shinny hockey on a local frozen pond – as long as the weather cooperates.
A family tradition we actually do is skating outside on a neighbors pond, tobogganing, snowshoeing and a big warm campfire roasting marshmallows with hot chocolate.
Would love to go snowshoeing each and every Family Day and enjoy custom made hot chocolate afterwards to warm up.

This Family Day Iād love to start a tradition of taking a nature walk in our nearby provincial park and seeing how many bird species we could spot, and then enter this info into the Global Bird Count (which happens from Feb 17-20).
