What new traditions are you starting for Family Day

Opportunities to spend time with your loved ones can be few and far between. Why not start a new tradition for Family Day this year to look forward to every February? If you’re going to join us at the Bentway, ice skating could become a new tradition for your family. Or, if you live near mountains, you might like to go skiing or snowshoeing on Family Day to make the most of the Canadian winter days. If you’d rather spend the day indoors, playing a new board game every year might be a fun activity everyone would enjoy! 1. I think it would be fun if every member of the family chooses or suggests an activity to do and we spend the whole day doing those activities!

  2. We all love games and each of us has a favourite. I would love to start a game day throw down. Each member picks a game and all the family plays. It would be like a marathon of fun and the person who wins the most gets to pick what we eat for dinner !

  3. Being a Large Family of 11 Children and 3 Granddaughters ,,I would like to start a tradition of all being together baking, doing crafts games and ending the evening writing down what we are Thankful for!

  4. I would love to have a Lego marathon, with everyone sitting around the table assembling Lego that matches their age range and interests.

  5. would love to start a tradition of going ice fishing and having a bonfire on the lake with our grandkids on family day… get them doing things that they wouldn’t or couldn’t do every day.

  6. The tradition I would start and continue is playing board games on the family day weekend and going with the Family to Bentway to enjoy the activities with the gang

  7. snowshoeing at our local Mountain with a tailgate party after. We have done it a few times. So family Day it could be a tradition

  8. If the weather would co-operate I would love to spend the day outside with my family skating, tobogganing and cross country skiing

  9. A new family day tradition I would like to do with my family is take them all for a skate on the lake, the weather always seems to cooperate. I will start this year!

  10. It would be great to plan an outdoor adventure tradition for Family Day. We could start with some toboganing, then do some ice skating at the local rink and finish up with some hot chocolate!

  11. I would love for everyone to pick their favorite boardgame then after put all our choices for a movie in a hat and select one and have popcorn!

  12. I would love to go sledding with my family every Family Day – but somehow, I predict we spend the day at home playing board games and video games and making homemade pizza, lol!!!
