On February 19th and February 20th, Best Buy Canada is organizing an epic weekend event in Toronto so you can share a memorable experience with your loved ones. From live graffiti artwork to interactive tech nostalgia chalkboards, there will be something for everyone, so join us for an unforgettable Retro Tech Ice Disco.

Gather your loved ones and join us at the Bentway in Toronto on February 19th and February 20th for an epic Family Day. There will be a DJ booth powered by Best Buy Tech to set the ambiance for a day of fun and skating, and various activities for everyone to enjoy.

Watch as local graffiti artists paint original pieces live by the ice rink, play with interactive tech nostalgia chalkboards, and capture memories with your family at the photo-worthy installations. When it’s time to take a break from the ice, visit the health & fitness tech zone to relax and recharge. There will also be giveaways each day for attendees so make sure to join in the fun!

Opportunities to spend time with your loved ones can be few and far between. Why not start a new tradition for Family Day this year to look forward to every February? If you’re going to join us at the Bentway, ice skating could become a new tradition for your family. Or, if you live near mountains, you might like to go skiing or snowshoeing on Family Day to make the most of the Canadian winter days. If you’d rather spend the day indoors, playing a new board game every year might be a fun activity everyone would enjoy! Or, you and your loved ones could also enter one of our contests for a chance to win the latest and greatest tech!

  1. I want to start the tradition of skating on the river. Kids are old enough now this will be the year we start.

  2. I would love to start hiking everyday with my family then come home to a nice supper and board games.

  3. I would love to be able to take my family ice fishing every family day! it would be something different, and lots of fun with a bonfire and good munchies….might even catch some fish!!

  4. We love to be outside so we could start the tradition of finding new sledding spots each year as it is a fun family activity that we all enjoy.

  5. I think this year we will start a family day tradition of going for a nature walk and then ordering pizza!

  6. I would love to start a tradition of playing ball hockey in the streets or in a park like my old childhood days.

  7. I would love to start a Family Day tradition where we go ice fishing or ice skate on a pond when weather permitting.

  8. I would love to start a tradition of meeting at grandma’s house with all of the children and grandchildren together to have a potluck dinner so that it’s not stressful on grandma and we can all enjoy the food and laughter and getting caught up altogether as one big happy family!

  10. Toboganning would be a great Family Day tradition. We can start with the small hills while the kids are young and move to a greater challenge each year. Then maybe we could also add skiing, snowboarding or snowshoeing, lots of fun.

  11. It would depend on the weather but we would all enjoy a new activity called Adventure Trails, in which we would choose a new area to go for a nature walk to explore.

  12. I think an amazing family day tradition to begin would be to have everyone choose a boardgame they would like to play and then draw which game to play by picking a number from a hat! And the winner has to make dinner, hahah

  13. We do have an annual Family Day tradition here, we go for a ride on the historic train line near our town, just a tour around the countryside, but we’ve been doing it for several years. Roller skating would be a fun one to start up too!

  14. My family gathers together to learn a new sport every Family Day. Last year was archery, and this year it’s curling!

  15. I would love to start a family tradition of having family board game night, every time it is family day!

  16. I would love to start every family day by doing something active outside together. Going for a hike, skating, sledding ect and end the day with a board game we can all play together.

  17. A tradition I would LOVE to start doing with my family is a day full of fun. I would love to take my family bowling followed by a restaurant outing 🙂

  18. We usually go sledding. Would be fun to warm up after with some hot chocolate and a game at the bowling alley.

  19. I would love to start a tradition of taking the grandparents along with the family to a different local attraction each Family Day!

  20. I would like to go golfing with my family on family day – outside if/when we can find an open course or indoors otherwise.

  21. We moved across country to be closer to our family, so we have started so many traditions together. We like going on hikes then back home for food and board games

  22. Love to have a picnic lunch at a park & enjoy each others company since we live away at such a distance.

  23. Ice fishing would be a great new annual tradition to start with my family, as long as we can find a lake where the ice is safe enough every year!
