What new traditions are you starting for Family Day

Opportunities to spend time with your loved ones can be few and far between. Why not start a new tradition for Family Day this year to look forward to every February? If you’re going to join us at the Bentway, ice skating could become a new tradition for your family. Or, if you live near mountains, you might like to go skiing or snowshoeing on Family Day to make the most of the Canadian winter days. If you’d rather spend the day indoors, playing a new board game every year might be a fun activity everyone would enjoy! Or, you and your loved ones could also enter one of our contests for a chance to win the latest and greatest tech!

However you choose to celebrate, we hope you have a great time with your family on February 20th. And if you live in Toronto, see you at the Bentway!

  1. I would love to be able to take my family ice fishing every family day! it would be something different, and lots of fun with a bonfire and good munchies….might even catch some fish!!

  2. We love to be outside so we could start the tradition of finding new sledding spots each year as it is a fun family activity that we all enjoy.

  3. I would love to start a tradition of meeting at grandma’s house with all of the children and grandchildren together to have a potluck dinner so that it’s not stressful on grandma and we can all enjoy the food and laughter and getting caught up altogether as one big happy family!

  4. Toboganning would be a great Family Day tradition. We can start with the small hills while the kids are young and move to a greater challenge each year. Then maybe we could also add skiing, snowboarding or snowshoeing, lots of fun.

  5. It would depend on the weather but we would all enjoy a new activity called Adventure Trails, in which we would choose a new area to go for a nature walk to explore.

  6. I think an amazing family day tradition to begin would be to have everyone choose a boardgame they would like to play and then draw which game to play by picking a number from a hat! And the winner has to make dinner, hahah

  7. We do have an annual Family Day tradition here, we go for a ride on the historic train line near our town, just a tour around the countryside, but we’ve been doing it for several years. Roller skating would be a fun one to start up too!

  8. I would love to start every family day by doing something active outside together. Going for a hike, skating, sledding ect and end the day with a board game we can all play together.

  9. A tradition I would LOVE to start doing with my family is a day full of fun. I would love to take my family bowling followed by a restaurant outing 🙂

  10. I would love to start a tradition of taking the grandparents along with the family to a different local attraction each Family Day!

  11. We moved across country to be closer to our family, so we have started so many traditions together. We like going on hikes then back home for food and board games

  12. Ice fishing would be a great new annual tradition to start with my family, as long as we can find a lake where the ice is safe enough every year!
