An Oculus Quest 2 is real entertainment like you’ve never experienced before. Whether it’s watching a movie, playing a game, or exploring a new travel destination, you will not believe how close you get to being part of the action. This is definitely one of the hottest entertainment/gaming devices of the year, and we are very happy to be able to offer two as prizes in this contest.
Oculus Quest 2 is virtual reality with no strings attached
Finally VR has become what we all thought it was to begin with. You see, VR promised to allow us to feel like we are in a different place or time. Some do this better than others, and some, like the original Oculus, have been quite amazing. However, it’s hard to totally immerse yourself in a game or movie when an attached cable keeps tugging you back to the real world. That’s one of the immediate advantages of the Oculus Quest 2: with no tether, no attached cable, you quickly lose yourself—the virtual environment essentially becomes the real world for you!
We sent the prizes that we are giving away in this contest to our writers for an honest review. Read what Dave said about the new Oculus Quest 2 and you’ll understand why this is a big step forward for virtual reality.
How to enter
Entering this contest is easy, and you can enter once below this article and once below the review article for the Oculus Quest 2. In each comment, tell us what you love about the Oculus Quest 2 and what you will use it for (gaming, movies, etc.).

I would love to experience the newest in vr technology, especially the first wireless pc vr headset!
I love that it’s physically Interactive. I would use this as a Christmas gift for my brother.
I love that you can connect to your pc or phone. I would use it to play games
Perfect gift for my two teenage grandkids. They are into gaming and movies and would get great use of the virtual capabilities.
I love that this is wireless. It will be so amazing to not have to worry about tripping over a cord! Gaming to a whole new level!
Gaming for sure! Maybe a bit of a workout at the same time
Love the wirelessness of this headset, can’t wait to play VR without the hassles of wires.
Definitely being wireless is the #1 greatest spec about the product. Will use it for gaming and watching movies
The hand tracking in the oculus quest seems intriguing. Would love to play Beat Saber and Project Wingman with this headset.
I’d want to play beat saber with the Oculus Quest 2, it seems really fun!
Wireless PC experience.
VR is the future! With the Occulus Quest 2, you get to visit destinations in a 360 degree view from the comfort of your home. Seeing places that I probably wouldn’t get too in person.
I would use it to give my 9 year old boy the Christmas of his dreams.hed use it for everything games, movies.
I would use it to play the Humble Bundle VR pack I recently bought in anticipation of getting one soon either way. I’ve tried the Oculus Go and wasn’t impressed but I think this one would be way better!
I would use it to give my 9 year old little boy a Christmas of his dreams this year he would be so lite up with joy .Hed use it for everything games, movies .
I want to get one just to play Vader Immortal.
I would love to use the oculus to create a travel or music app that will leverage it’s VR capabilities
Stoked about no wires and i’d use it for games.
I’d use it to travel the world!
An untethered, well performing experience is something I think is what the best thing that the Quest 2 has to offer over any other headsets. I’d use it for gaming on the go and being able to easily bring around the VR system without needing to be stuck to a wall outlet and PC. It would be amazing to also share with family and friends who would get the best possible experience of what VR has to offer today.
I love how lightweight the Oculus Quest 2 is and I will use it mostly for movies 🙂
The hand tracking in the oculus quest seems intriguing. Would love to play Beat Saber and Project Wingman with this headset.
Let me start by saying that my first contact with VR was about 6 years ago with a demo of the original Rift, it’s impressive how far technology has come in that time.
The visuals are great, sure you can get much better graphics on a next gen console or gaming pc, but the experience is completely different, everyone I’ve shown this loves the feeling you get and are blown away by how immersive this is, couple that with some good headphones and you really get lost in the world. I would love to get one and gift it to brother!
Would use for gaming and I like the fact that they’re is no cords attached and have more freedom for movement.
One of the best features it’s it’s unteatherd capabilities. I love the idea of painting in a 3D space and creating something.
I love to do office work n showing my kids the great wonders of the world also me and my wife have a great time sharing games and experiences I would love to have a second one so we can watch movies together in big screen not to mention it is affordable and one of the first VRs you can play full steam vr without any cables if I could afford it I would replace the TVs in our house that being said thank you Best buy for this fantastic opportunity
What I love about the quest is 360 gaming and it pretty much being a standalone console. I’d use it to crush some good ol’ beat saber
Just spent all my money on a nice gaming PC and opened up a world of gaming for myself, my brother and cousin who visits. We played vr at our local vr arcade and fell in love, the no cord and ability to plug into the PC if I want sounds amazing, I could bring it to family gatherings. Walking dead, half life, creed. With a growing library I would be blessed to be graced with this.
I thank you for the chance to enter and win one of these amazing devices and merry xmas . Keep up the good work
We have been shopping all the vr headsets lately. We don’t currently have a pc, but do have a ps4, so our options have been semi limited atm. The ps4 doesn’t seem to stack up anywhere near the quest 2, but I haven’t wanted to jump on the quest 2 mostly because I’ve been skeptical about only having 2 choices. Lol
But, a friend just got one and has been filling me in on his experience and now I’m sold! I would love to get my hands on one of these bad boys soon!!!
Thanks! 🙂
i like that it can be connected to a PC with an extra cable. i would play every VR-capable game in my Steam library!
I love that it is wireless. My children would use it for gaming.
I’m would love to see the better lenses and refresh rate for those physically active games like Beat Saber and Box VR.
Things I love about it are that it does not require a lot of setup unlike some other vr devices and you don’t need a high end pc to use it. I would use it play an array of amazing games
Love that its portable.
Gonna use it to work out at home.
I would love to have a quest!
I visited Disney land and had so much fun with their virtual reality!
Best Buy is awesome for all of my electronic needs, I always find a good deal when I shop there. And I love the fact y’all are sharing the Christmas joy. My son wants a VR for Christmas. Hoping to save some money during this pandemic.
Will use it for gaming. Standalone is the most important feature.
Wireless or connected out does the oculus rift and some other vr consoles. I would use to to game.
Oculus’ Quest 2 is revolutionary.
For the 1st time, affordable high-end VR experiences is available, but not just any VR experience, a WIRELESS VR experience; thanks to the stand-alone/mobile design with inside-out tracking and a near 4K display, Quest 2 makes for a truly immersive experience. Being reasonably priced for the featureset and build quality, Quest 2 is pushing VR to mainstream and enthusiast alike. Without requiring a PC/console to utilize the Quest 2, a casual will still be immersed in wireless VR experience; while the enthusiast can link their Quest to a VR ready PC via Oculus Link (wired)/Virtual Desktop (wireless), to experience more premium VR games and or to experience favourite non-VR games in VR with 3D conversion apps such as VorpX/Tridef3D.
Either way, for the casual or enthusiast, when on the go, Quest 2 is also portable. For example:
Stuck in an airport due to pandemic layovers?
Just find an empty area, jump into VR.
Not feeling the on-board flight entertainment?
Watch your own films/shows in a virtual cinema with the Skybox app, where you can resize/position the cinema screen however you like.
Casual/enthusiast, homebody/vagabond, gamer/couch-potato, introvert/extrovert; Quest 2 has something for everyone. Especially so with its every growing library of VR experiences.
Personally, I’d not only enjoy anime/film/series within a virtual cinema, I’d experience the various realities Oculus has to offer; just after a new episode of The Mandalorian on the largest virtual cinema my eyes can handle, feeling ‘the way’, I’d jump into Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge to actually experience the Star Wars universe in VR. The same can be said for The Walking Dead series and the VR game The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners. Though, I’ve friends who still game ‘traditionally’, so I’d have to experience Destiny 2/Elder Scrolls Online in VR with 3D conversion from VorpX/Tridef3D, to keep up with the lads. I’m also an aspiring concept/VFX artist, the ability to 3D sculpt/model in VR would be an asset to building my portfolio; manipulating objects in 3D virtual space with hands would increase workflow speed immensely, rather than doing so on a 2D screen, it’s simply more organic.
From gaming to entertainment to art/production, the Quest 2 would be an invaluable investment as an all-in-one device.
My favorite thing about the quest 2 is the freedom of movement that come with no cable.
I’ve been a huge fan of VR since I bought the Rift in 2016! The Quest 2 seems like a great upgrade with better resolution and no pesky wires. I’ll definitely use it for my daily aerobic workouts.
I’d play a lot of Beat Saber on the Quest 2. The no wires experience would be great.
I will be using Oculus Quest 2 for both gaming and movies. Super excited that it’s wireless. Thanks Best Buy Canada.
I love that it’s a device that doesn’t need anything else to work. You dont need pc or any weird cables.
I would be using it for gaming of course, but I am also game developer (unity) so I woul definitely start some new project for oculus.
No cable. No PC. Would love to keep up my fitness and explore new games!
Would make a great gift for my girlfriend. She could use it to meet up together when we are away.
I love that it doesn’t require a beefy desktop rig. I simply can’t justify that kind of investment.
I also love that it’s untethered. It would be such a joy to play in VR in any room anywhere without worrying about wires getting tangled.
I would use this for gaming, and as a software developer I am also curious to play around with what I could make for it.
no tether, no attached cable . I want to play half-life alyx
That’s only on pc need the cable for that game.
I want to be able to explore the different games they have, like climbing mount everest and going on jungle tours in the nation geographic games 🙂
Theain thing I would love to experience with the Oculus Quest 2 is no wires. That’s always been my biggest turnoff from investing into VR. I plan to to use it for gaming and a wire hanging off your head would be really immersion breaking.
Been looking into vr for gaming for a long time. This would be great.
I’d be using it to play games(star wars, no man sky and a lot more i’ve seen on youtube) and watch movies with friends who i can’t meet right now due to covid and who moved away for work.
