An image of display tables and hardware set up.

At CES 2026, ASUS Republic of Gamers marked a major milestone with its “Dare to Innovate” virtual event. The stream celebrated two decades of cutting-edge engineering and creativity while showcasing ASUS’s largest gaming hardware lineup to date. This year’s showcase highlighted next-generation gaming laptops, experimental form factors, and collaborations that underscore where ROG sees gaming heading next. The future looks very exciting. From ultraportable AI-powered laptops to innovative dual-screen hardware and AR gaming glasses, CES 2026 was a statement year for ROG. Let’s dive into everything announced, along with some of my hands-on impressions.

CES 2026

ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 push ultraportable gaming forward

Two gaming laptops sit on a table.

The ROG Zephyrus lineup continues to be ROG’s sweet spot for serious power in a sleek chassis. The new Zephyrus G14 (GU405/GA403) and Zephyrus G16 (GU606) refine that formula with next-gen processors, upgraded thermals, and one of the brightest laptop displays ROG has ever shipped. I was able to go hands-on with the new hardware, and the new displays are truly stunning.

Intel Core Ultra Series 3 offer incredible performance

Both models feature Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. Delivering up to 50 TOPS of NPU performance for local AI workloads. This trend is becoming increasingly relevant for gaming, content creation, and multitasking. GPU options scale all the way up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU on the G14 and RTX 5090 on the G16. Powered by NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture with DLSS 4 and Frame Generation.

Greater power and efficiency in the ROG Zephyrus line

ROG also unlocked more performance headroom in this Zephrus generation. Manual mode boosts GPU TGP up to 130W on the G14 and 160W on the G16, which is a meaningful jump for sustained performance. Cooling has been refined with liquid metal on the CPU, a redesigned bottom panel. It also features optimized exhaust vents to keep noise and thermals in check.

Ultra-bright and brilliant Nebula HDR display

The star of the show, though, is the new 1100-nit Nebula HDR display. With 100% DCI-P3 coverage and Delta E <1 accuracy, it delivers genuinely impressive HDR highlights and colour depth, whether you’re gaming or editing. Along with improved battery life and a CNC-milled aluminum chassis with updated Slash lighting, the Zephyrus is looking sharper than ever.

ROG Zephyrus Duo offers a bold dual-screen vision

If the Zephyrus G-series represents refinement, the ROG Zephyrus Duo (GX651) is pure unfettered ambition. This is the world’s first dual 16-inch-screen gaming laptop, designed for power users who want flexibility without compromise. It’s truly striking and one of the first devices that caught my eye at ASUS’s showcase event.

Dual 3K ROG Nebula HDR OLED touchscreens

The ROG Zephyrus Duo is outfitted with two 3K ROG Nebula HDR OLED touchscreens. They run at 120Hz with a 0.2ms response time, delivering smooth visuals. The main panel also supports NVIDIA G-SYNC, ensuring tear-free gameplay.

Power under the hood

The Duo pairs the latest Intel processor with up to an RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, making it well-suited to handling demanding games and AI-accelerated creative tasks. Five operating modes let the system adapt to different use cases. ROG Intelligent Cooling features a vapour chamber, dual fans, and a dedicated graphite sheet that keeps everything running efficiently.

It’s a hardware experience for the ultra-high-end user, showcasing exactly what ROG does best: experimenting boldly.

ROG x Kojima Productions blends gaming hardware and art

Another showstopping announcement from CES 2026 is ROG’s collaboration with Kojima Productions. I was able to go hands-on with the entire line, and was extremely impressed by the quality, details and stunning extra touches that went into the collaboration. This partnership didn’t just add a logo to preexisting hardware; it’s merged high-performance tech with artistic identity and design that feels like its pulled straight from Kojima’s universe.

At the centre of the collection is the ROG Flow Z13-KJP, a special-edition 2-in-1 device inspired by Kojima Productions’ iconic Ludens mascot. Designed by Yoji Shinkawa, the Flow Z13-KJP feels as much like a collector’s piece as it does a gaming machine. Going hands-on, I kept discovering small design touches.

Powered by the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with Radeon 8060S graphics and a 50 TOPS NPU, it delivers desktop-class performance in a tablet-sized form factor. The 13.4-inch 2.5K Nebula HDR touchscreen runs at 180Hz with full DCI-P3 coverage, making it ideal for both gaming and creative work on the go. Exclusive packaging, custom Armoury Crate themes, and Ludens-inspired wallpapers complete the experience.

Matching peripherals round out the ecosystem, including the ROG Delta II-KJP headset, ROG Keris II Origin-KJP mouse, and ROG Scabbard II XXL-KJP mouse pad, all designed to blend premium performance with unmistakable Kojima Productions flair.

ROG G1000 introduces holographic flair to desktop gaming

A PC tower with a hologram displayed.

ROG didn’t forget desktop gamers. The ROG G1000 is a high-end prebuilt gaming PC that pairs extreme performance with a genuinely unique feature: the world’s first holographic AniMe Holo fan system in a gaming desktop.

The holographic module sits in its own chamber to prevent airflow disruption, while the ROG Thermal Atrium design ensures efficient cooling via a 420mm AIO liquid cooler. Hardware options scale up to RTX 5090 or 5080 GPUs, 128GB of DDR5 memory, and PCIe 5.0 SSD storage.

Wrapped in a massive 104L ATX ultra-tower chassis with extensive Armoury Crate and Aura Sync customization, the G1000 is built to be as visually expressive as it is powerful.

ROG XREAL R1 gaming glasses super-size your gameplay

Rounding out the showcase, the ROG XREAL R1 Gaming Glasses were one of the more surprising highlights for me. Built in collaboration with XREAL, they look to offer a natural extension of the ROG ecosystem. They work across PC, console, and handheld gaming, and the instant compatibility with the ROG Ally is an exciting addition. Practical touches like auto-adjusting electrochromic lenses and “Sound by Bose” help sell the experience. It’s a bold idea, and a piece of tech I look forward to trying out in the near future.

ROG’s CES 2026 offers exciting look into the future

After 20 years, ROG isn’t slowing down; it’s experimenting more than ever. Their CES 2026 offerings showcased a brand comfortable taking risks. Blending culture with hardware and pushing gaming beyond traditional screens and form factors. Whether it’s AI-powered ultra-portables, dual-screen laptops, holographic desktops, or AR gaming glasses, ROG offered an exciting look at its hardware roadmap.

It’s still unclear which ASUS models Best Buy will carry, though several ZenBook and VivoBook laptop lineups have been announced. In the meantime, ASUS’s current selection is worth exploring.

And don’t miss the latest highlights from CES 2026.
