Xbox Series S 1TB Console
A black version of the Xbox Series S console with a 1TB SSD was released in 2023. This time, Microsoft is back with a white version. Now, gamers will be able to enjoy this small-format console with twice as much storage as its initial 512 GB version. Today’s games are getting increasingly bulky. A 1TB internal hard drive is therefore hardly a luxury for an all-digital console.
This is often referred to as a budget option among existing Xbox Series consoles. However, when it comes to playing current-generation games, this console holds its own among Microsoft’s high-end consoles. From experience, the Xbox Series S is perfect as a second console or for those who don’t own a 4K TV. It boasts a maximum resolution of 1440p, which is more than enough for a 1080p TV or a computer screen.

A growing number of gamers are taking advantage of the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. This makes physical games less appealing to them. Having a main console with 1TB of storage capacity without a disk drive is therefore an interesting option. This also explains its slightly lower cost compared to other Xbox Series X versions currently on the market.

This 2TB Xbox Series X stands out from the rest not only for its larger internal hard drive, but also for its looks. The Galaxy Black finish sets it apart from the rest, and I love it. It’s like seeing a thousand stars twinkling in a dark sky. The base is Velocity Green, as is the back of the joystick. Otherwise, it offers the same high-performance features as the entire Xbox Series X range.
For this one, Microsoft has chosen to keep the disc drive. What we have here is a massive, versatile console for the most seasoned gamers. No doubt it will attract collectors and those who naturally shift from physical to digital video game purchases.
