  3. 1) I think my gaming edge is that I play games to have fun. Because of this, I don’t get mad/rage if I start loosing. This helps me keep cool and in many cases, I’ve come back from what could easily have turned into a downward spiral.

    2) honestly any gaming laptop or PC with at least a 1660Ti and 16GB ram. My old laptop (MSI) broke down at the end of last year and haven’t been able to get a replacement as I can’t afford it yet 🙁 if I do win, I’ll end up spending what I have saved for the Logitech G502 wireless as I need a new mouse. And a new headset (likely HyperX) but that’s gonna be in the distant future.

  9. A competitive edge? I would say that it is probably the fact that I am a strong team player and enjoy playing with my team of friends. Unfortunately I don’t have a real gaming pc so I have to stick to crossplay games currently.

  10. 1) FPS and refresh rates are the way of competition. Synergy amongst peripherals is also huge. Having an SSD for both Windows and games, a proper mouse with customizable buttons, and even some sweet software like VoiceAttack for voice-assisted shortcuts adds a leg up on the competition!

    2) I run an external GPU dock (Razer Core), but I’m currently bottleknecking with my laptop processor. I need “MOAR POWER!” so the MSI GS66 Stealth makes my mouth water! (Link below)

  49. My 24″ 1ms 144 Hz monitor combined with my gaming 7.5 surround sound headphones connected to my i7 8th gen laptop. You can hear the enemy easily and see them in time to score your necessary hits, though it helps having a high end CPU. Sitting comfortably in a good computer chair is also important, and finally, using a good mechanical anti ghosting keyboard with a fast gaming mouse. Combining all these makes it for a very competitive and fun time.

I think this HP Omen laptop would greatly increase my competitive edge and would be great addition to my gaming arsenal, at a good price point. My current laptop GPU is no way near as good as the 2070 and I prefer laptops over desktops. But, do I need to stop at one item only as I think the; ASUS 27″ 1440p WQHD 155Hz IPS LED G-Sync Gaming Monitor (VG27AQ) would enhance the over all setup, and it being G-Sync would be a perfect match with the HP laptop.
