Whether you’re shopping for the kids or the Kid at Heart, I’ve rounded up the most popular Christmas gifts of 2026, with Christmas present ideas for every age, interest, and budget. Here are the trending Christmas gifts your family and friends might just get hooked on. Get them before they’re gone!
Trending Christmas gifts for 2026
NeeDoh and other squishy toys
What is NeeDoh?
NeeDoh is a super-soft, stretchy, dough-like sensory toy from Schylling that you can squeeze, stretch, smush, and squish before it bounces back to its original shape.
Available in a variety of shapes, colours, fillings, and textures, including the giant 3.25-inch NeeDoh Nice Cube with its unique colour swirl, it’s a simple, satisfying way to keep hands busy. And honestly, who doesn’t love a good squish?
Why are squishy toys trending in 2026?
Squishy toys like NeeDoh have exploded in popularity thanks to TikTok, their affordable prices, and their satisfying squish. With hundreds of cute designs, rare editions, and blind bags to collect, they’re just as fun to hunt for as they are to squeeze. Plus, they’re an easy way to unwind from everyday stress and screen fatigue.
Who could it be a good gift for?
Honestly, anyone over the age of three! (Squishy toys aren’t recommended for kids three and under due to choking concerns.) Whether it’s your six-year-old son, 15-year-old teen, or 32-year-old uncle with a stressful job, they make a fun little gift for just about anyone. Perfect for stress relief, desk toys, stocking stuffers, and a little pick-me-up.
If NeeDoh is out of stock, Best Buy still carries a bunch of other squishy toy options to choose from. Here are a couple of cute alternatives.

How to choose a popular Christmas gift
The best Christmas gifts aren’t always the ones going viral on TikTok. They’re the ones that suit the person you’re buying for and make them excited to unwrap.
- Look beyond the trends. Viral gifts can be fun, but don’t buy something just because everyone else wants it. A gift that reflects someone’s personality or introduces them to a hobby they’ll enjoy is often a safer bet than the latest craze.
- Think about their interests. Are they into gaming, collecting cute figurines, building LEGO sets, or collecting Pokémon cards? Start with what they already love.
- Consider how they’ll use it. A collectible might look great on their desk, while a fidget toy is something they can use throughout the day. Choose something that fits naturally into their routine.
- Set a budget. You don’t need to spend a fortune to find a thoughtful gift. Blind boxes, mini collectibles, and NeeDoh squishy toys are all pretty affordable.
