Premium TVs begin with outstanding new technology

I get this question quite frequently on the blog and on social media, “I want to buy a new TV; can you tell me which TV should I get?” My answer is to figure out your budget and space considerations for the room where it will be placed, then get the most future friendly TV with the largest screen that will fit in your home that you can afford. Future friendly means best technology available. And this year is a banner year for new technology in televisions.

I am planning on getting a new set for my home one day. I have a budget in mind and a TV size in mind (65 inch). I haven’t decided which brand to purchase yet because they are all so tempting! Each of the top manufactures has released new televisions with outstanding new technologies that make the colours more vibrant, details clearer, and the overall entertainment experience much better.

Do your research and plan for your next TV

Buying a television does require doing a bit of research. This contest will help you do that so you will know which future friendly Premium TV will be right for your home. There are three television prizes, one from each of the major TV manufacturers, Samsung, Sony, and LG, as shown here.

    a) The most interesting feature is the new Gallery Series OLED screens – being able to hang a tv flat on the wall without building a recess in the wall that might not fit a tv you buy later seems like an amazing draw.

    b) The LG GX is the TV that’s grabbed my attention the most, with the 65NANO90UNA a close second for LED screens.

    a) Samsung’s 8K sets are interesting because of how future proof they are. Knowing full well that from a distance you can’t tell the difference between it and 4K, it will be interesting to see scenes with high amount of small details, like the shots coming from astrophotographers recently. Seeing details of distant stars would be incredible.

    a) The technology that interests me the most and has for a few years is the Acoustic Surface Audio. If it sounds good it could really de-clutter the wall the tv is on by getting rid of all the speakers and the receiver

    b) Sony’s A8H OLED is gorgeous and is my favorite of their offerings

  39. LG’s NVIDIA G-SYNC technology sounds like it would be perfect for my kids gaming as well as my husband’s love for sports. The fact that they have the minimalist gallery series is awesome too – would look fantastic in my living room!

  41. I currently have a 32″ sony and have had it for years but would LOVE an upgrade!! I am most excited about the new motion clarity feature. As someone who loves action movies this feature sound awesome. My boyfriend also uses the TV to game a lot so I can imagine he would also love this! Crossing my fingers to win!!

  44. The Samsung 8K Quantum Processor also optimizes sound for each scene, and adjusts brightness to the room’s environment – This is sooooo cool! I’ve never even heard of 8K but this sounds like it would be amazing for my husband to watch sports and my kids to watch cartoons.
