    My competitive edge has always come from one source – my naturally (some say ‘overly’) collaborative nature. I’ve been drawn to multiplayer games for as long as I can remember, and as a part of that, I’ve loved creating, organizing, and playing in teams wherever it was allowed. From the early days of Halo, Call of Duty, and Far Cry, I recognized early just how powerful good, efficient teamwork could be. The very essence of a game is about ‘bringing people together to play’ – and what better way to crystallize that spirit than with teams of players facing off against each other?! My edge comes from getting diverse groups of people to work well with each other – I’m that little bit of axle grease that supports each team member – whether its by providing sniper cover, or planning out an attack to take the enemy flag. I take a diplomatic approach so everyone feels not just heard and respected, but they feel like they have buy-in with the team. While I don’t play competitively, I’ve always received compliments for my stewardship of whatever team I’m on – I help everyone shine and support my team both on and off the digital field. If I’m lucky enough, maybe I can take my teamwork skills to the next level with a gaming laptop!

    Product I’d Love to Add: I’ve always had a problem with Best Buy Canada’s PC Gaming page. A serious problem. The problem is that I want EVERYTHING on that page! But if I had to choose one item, it would have to be the ASUS 27″ FHD MPRT IPS LED FreeSync Curved Gaming Monitor. My favorite game type is FPS – and that monitor’s 27” of real estate would go a really long way to improving overall gameplay. I’ve read a lot about the FreeSync tech on that particular monitor, and with the pretty high 144Hz refresh rate, everything on that screen should be seamless in a way I’ve never had the chance to experience. That would be my dream item!

  8. when warcraft shadowland is released i will lose any competitive edge i once had. don’t have a laptop that will run it ……… the asus rog strix g15(intel core i7) would be nice

  10. 1. What gives me an edge? Probably my attitude – too many people lose their heads in ranked games online and I never take it seriously enough to get upset; some might call that a disadvantage but I don’t have any issues hitting the find match button.
