intel gaming days 2022 event and contestCelebrate the fun and excitement of PC Gaming during Intel® Gaming Week. Best Buy Canada kicks it off with great deals on Intel-powered laptops and PC Gaming accessories that will boost your gaming experience in ways you can only imagine. Running from May 12th to 26th. Intel Gaming Week features some of the top names in PC gaming including MSI and Dell (who supplied the prizes for this contest). Read on to learn more about Intel’s most advanced processors, including Intel’s 12th Gen processors released this year. Then enter for your chance to win one of the two amazing laptops we are giving away.

Step up your gaming and leap ahead of the competition

Last year Intel released the amazing 11th Gen H Series processors bringing desktop calibre performance to laptops. Intel called it, “Desktop power for any desk” because Intel-powered laptops have evolved to deliver comparable performance of a bulky desktop so you can play high resolution, maximum frame rate games anytime and anywhere.

This year Intel announced an evolutionary leap in computing with their 12th Gen series of processors. We covered the main features of this announcement in an article on the blog at the beginning of this year. Gamers will get huge performance improvements thanks to the new hybrid architecture. The 12th Gen series mobile processors feature up to 6 Performance cores (P-cores) optimized for maximum responsiveness, and up to 8 Efficient cores (E-cores) optimized for threaded workloads and background tasks. Power gamers will be able to overclock both sets of cores to get faster performance than ever before.

Built for the next generation of gaming

Obviously, a gaming laptop is used for much more than just gaming. The ability for a laptop to keep gaming performance at maximum intensity while also performing complex background tasks is becoming more and more important. Many games require a steady connection to the internet during a game, for competing and for communicating with team mates in other cities; for downloading game components and add-ons; and more.

One of the most demanding auxiliary tasks that gamers do is live streaming or live recording for later playback of their gameplay. There are many people already streaming on Twitch and YouTube, and most are not able to stand out. The fact is, many gamers don’t have a machine powerful enough to keep their gaming at a peak level while they stream: the demands of streaming can dramatically impact the quality and consistency of gameplay, and thereby affect how engage their audience is. Imagine the challenges for a laptop to try to keep up with the complexities of a battle, the graphic demands and more, while at the same time capturing the action and sharing it over the internet. 12th Gen Intel® CoreTM powered laptops were built so you get the best of both worlds: the best gaming laptop and the best multitasking laptop ever created. Streaming with a laptop like this may be just what you need to stand out from the crowd.

How to enter

Entering this contest is easy and you can enter in two different ways.

  1. In a comment below, tell us would you consider streaming your gameplay if you had one of the new laptops as discussed above, and why or why not. If you already stream your gameplay, do you post on a social site like YouTube or Twitch or just for fun (you can put your channel link here for some free advertising if you wish).
  2. For up to three (3) additional entries, create a public post on a social media channel (one entry per channel!) telling your friends and followers that you are entering to win a Dell or MSI laptop from the Best Buy Blog’s Intel Gaming days contest; include the hashtag #BestBuyContest, so we can find your post, and include a picture of the prize like that shown here. Then return here and tell us in a comment below, on which channel you posted it and the name of your channel (since many people use pseudonyms) so that I can check and verify your entry. You can use any social media channel (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc) but the post must be public so we can verify it is there. Add one comment below for each social media channel for up to 3 contest entries.

What you can win

At the end of this contest we will randomly select two (2) winners from all eligible entries. One will receive the Dell G15 15.6″ Gaming Laptop and the other will receive the MSI GS66 Stealth 15.6″ Gaming Laptop.

This contest runs from May 6th to May 26th.

Remember you can enter in two different ways as described above. However, tell your friends to visit Best Buy during Intel gaming days to check out the deals and so they too have a chance to win a great gaming laptop.

  1. With a fast unit like this streaming would be fun as it has the power to handle it while playing the game!

  2. I would consider streaming with either of these laptops! I have a mac right now for work stuff so I don’t even think of gaming outside of consols.

  3. I haven’t streamed before. but if I had one of these powerful laptops, I would certainly consider it. If it would be a seamless activity it would be fun to make this connection.

  4. Yes I would definitely stream. I would stream
To twitch. I feel like streaming helps
A lot of other gamers learning strategies and this laptop is amazing and I’d be blessed and thankful from Best Buy for the chance to win it! Thanks happy weekend

  6. My PC is almost 10 years old! If I were were to win one of these two sweet laptops, I would be extremely over the moon happy! As for streaming, that’s not really my cup of tea. Though I am an avid watcher of streamers on Twitch. I would utilize this laptop for that purpose, and to game via this method than my current console method. Thank you for this fantastic opportunity to win.

  7. I wouldn’t stream, since I game for my own enjoyment! That said, this is a nice piece of kit!

  8. No, gaming is for my own enjoyment. Besides, I don’t think anyone would watch me play 🙂

  9. I already stream my gaming but i do not post on social media.
    This looks like fantastic machine

  10. would definitely streaming the gameplay because I’m really good at playing games with friends and family!

    @itad30

  11. I would love to be able to stream some gameplay along with friends and share the fun times we have together on streaming platforms although I would probably avoid face cam and replace it with an avatar or something because I’m not comfortable showing myself

  12. I think streaming my game play would be a great way to help folks fall asleep as I’m really NOT a gamer!

  13. No I don’t think I would stream it , I’m pretty new to gaming so Im weak sauce lol and I am sure no one wants to see that

  14. I would probably stream if I won, as I would finally be able to play the latest games. The last time I purchased a laptop was 14 years ago :s

  15. It would be great to start streaming my gameplay since I am new to gaming. I would love to learn new tips from others. Thank you for the chance.

  16. If I’d do any streaming it would probably be just amongst friends! I’m more of a single player type of guy anyways.

  17. I would consider streaming, there are a handful of games which myself and some friends are good enough to show off a little 🙂

  18. I’d stream, with hardware like this it would be a lot easier to play higher end games while doing it without performance loss.

  19. I would probably consider streaming my gameplay if I had one of these new laptops but it would only be shared with my friends (as my gaming sklls are not top notch).

  20. Since my gaming family is far away, playing multi player games together is the way we connect. So yes, streaming would be possible with that great laptop!

  21. 1- I would definitely consider streaming with one of these bad boys; I play for fun but I do love new challenges.

  22. If I had a rig like this that could stream I would try it out. My current pc is held together by duct tape so. In to win.
