Samsung smart monitors fall somewhere between these two.

My daughter recently bought a monitor and I offered to send her a Roku streaming stick so she could watch movies on it in her apartment. m7 for a multitasking student!
The M7 is best because the large screen is good for having several documents open at once when writing papers or studying.

I would recommend the Samsung M7 as best for a student because the larger screen would reduce the strain on the eyes over an extended period.
Samsung M5 would be great for a student as its smaller and doesn’t take up as much space – in a bedroom or dorm.

M5 would be better for a student if in a small dorm room, or limited desk space. However most would want the 4k M7.

To be specific, due to the global pandemic, many students (including adult students) learn, watch lectures, and study through online content which can be streamed through their mobile devices and/or computer.
