What should you look for when buying a dash cam like the many offered by Nextbase? Perhaps you want some protection for you and your family while driving at the lowest price. Nextbase has a wide range of possibilities with their series: 122, 222, 322GW, 422GW, and 522GW models. Alternatively, you may want something that is future-friendly, has the newest technology, and tons of features. They just announced their newest model: the 622GW 4K dash cam. Take some time to learn about Nextbase dash cams to return here to enter for a chance to win one of five that we are giving away.

What are you looking for in a dash cam?

I personally don’t own a dash cam. It’s not that I don’t care about the advantages they offer, I just haven’t got around to buying one yet. But if I was, I would want something in the middle of the Nextbase series: probably a 322GW or 422GW. Perhaps it’s that the review done by Dave Neufeld was extremely persuasive? Or somehow it resonated with me in a way the other Nextbase articles have not. After all, I think all the writers did a great job examining the different models and clearly explaining what they liked and did not like about each: pros and cons. I think what is more likely is that I just like the 422GW most because I feel it’s right for me in a way that I can’t quite explain.

Nextbase keeps raising the bar on what a dash cam can do

Not that I am averse to perfection. I have not seen the new model that was just announced today, the 622GW; nor have I sent it for review—Nextbase haven’t sent me samples yet. But judging from the specifications and features, it is a step above the rest. The features include an impressively clear 4K image at 30 fps, image stabilization, and Amazon Alexa built in. I love that if you are involved in an accident, this dash cam will register the most recent footage as high priority and not let it get recorded over.

So, now your options are bigger. Of course, if you win one of the five prizes in this contest, which include a 122, 222, 322GW, 422GW, and 522GW models, then you can learn from experience what you want in a dash cam. First though, you will need to think about which one has the features you need.

How to enter

Entering this contest is easy, but you can only enter once on this post and once on the article about the new 622GW dash cam. In one comment below each article tell us which features you absolutely need in a dash cam, and which Nextbase model is therefore your favourite. You can do some research before deciding by reading the articles or looking at the product pages (I put all the links you need above).

What you can win

At the end of this contest we will select five (5) winners and randomly assign them to receive one of the five prizes: a Nextbase 122, 222, 322GW, 422GW, and 522GW models. Each prize also comes with a hardwire kit and a carry case that includes a 32 GB microSD card.

This contest runs from August 27th until September 10th.

Remember, you can only enter once. However, you have friends and family who can also benefit by owning one of these Nextbase dash cams, so please share this contest with them.

  1. Wow .. so many entries above prefer the 622GW model, and I hate to imitate a sheep … but I really like this model’s features too! Enhanced night vision … the clarity of the 4K images … the emergency contact features … good lord … it does everything except make my coffee! Come home with me 622GW … !

  2. Nightvision is something I would need in a dashcam. My favourite is Nextbase 622GW. Thank you for the chance!

  3. I like the enhanced features of the 622GW for the 4K and night vision. I do a lot of driving for my work and i see a lot happening on the roads.

  4. I’m looking for easy mounting of the cam and the ability to easily remove the cam, I think the 422GW would do the trick.

  5. 622GW because of 4K image quality and increased connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.0 and Hyper-Sync Wi-Fi 5GHz!

  6. I would need the night vision for sure! It’s so sick! And with the clear 4k image what more can I ask for?

  7. Would be great to have Image Stabilization and an Extreme Weather Mode in a dash cam. Nextbase 622GW is my favourite.

  8. Would want the 622GW for clearest image quality, and safety features like intelligent Parking Mode, 911 Emergency SOS.

  9. I like the 522GW because it can support up to 128GB SD memory to store all captured footage , I can also add a rear view module allows me to record the rear-view journey for all around protection , Intelligent Parking Mode with motion sensors detects movements and bumps on my vehicle when I leave it unattended and Night Vision mode for capturing clear pictures in low light conditions.

  10. Intelligent Parking Mode with motion sensors is an absolute must. Nextbase 522GW model is my favorite model.

  11. The features I need in a dash cam are Night Vision mode as I do travel at night. I also would need the Intelligent Parking Mode which detects movements and bumps when parked and no one is in vehicle. I also would want the hands free with Alexa. I would choose the 522GW Dash Cam

  12. Hmm…The features absolutely needed in a dash cam would have to be enhanced easy installation, image quality/Stabilization, night vision, front & rear protection…they all seem like good cams…would probably choose 322GW

  13. I would need easy installation, and good picture quality especially night vision. My favourite is 322GW as it seems to have these features and is a good price point.

    • Love the idea of a 4k dash cam which is why I’m leaning towards the 622GW. I myself have a HD dash cam (which I find essential to drive with one these days). The HD doesn’t seem to pick up the best details in moderate to poor lighting. In addition the ability to reduce resolution to increase FPS is a big plus. Sometimes fast moving objects are blurry and the increased frame rate will help grab those faces and license plates. I also love the ‘what3words’ feature for life saving peace of mind.

  14. I need the night vision, clear 4K image and image stabilization so I think the Nextbase 522GW model is the perfect model for me.
