A Premium TV from one of the top television manufacturers like Sony, Samsung, and LG takes home entertainment to a whole new level. Each brand has their own spectacular technologies to bring out the best from the movies, TV shows, and sports that you love to watch. You can find a huge selection of these televisions right now online at Bestbuy.ca. Also, read carefully below then enter this amazing contest: three Canadians will win an amazing Premium television!
Premium TVs begin with outstanding new technology
I get this question quite frequently on the blog and on social media, “I want to buy a new TV; can you tell me which TV should I get?” My answer is to figure out your budget and space considerations for the room where it will be placed, then get the most future friendly TV with the largest screen that will fit in your home that you can afford. Future friendly means best technology available. And this year is a banner year for new technology in televisions.
I am planning on getting a new set for my home one day. I have a budget in mind and a TV size in mind (65 inch). I haven’t decided which brand to purchase yet because they are all so tempting! Each of the top manufactures has released new televisions with outstanding new technologies that make the colours more vibrant, details clearer, and the overall entertainment experience much better.
Do your research and plan for your next TV
Buying a television does require doing a bit of research. This contest will help you do that so you will know which future friendly Premium TV will be right for your home. There are three television prizes, one from each of the major TV manufacturers, Samsung, Sony, and LG, as shown here.
These are all premium prizes, so you must do a bit of work before you enter to win one of them. Since each of these brands provided a prize for this contest, you’ll be allowed to enter once per brand. Read the directions below carefully.
How to enter
Entering this contest is easy and you can enter once for each brand that provided a prize to this contest for a total of three unique entries: one entry about Sony, one about Samsung, and one about LG. For each entry, in a comment below, tell us
a) which new technology by that brand has you most excited about their Premium TVs this year. You can go to these articles for information about the new technology from each brand.
b) which model by that brand on the Best Buy website is your favourite (you must be precise: saying something like “any model” is not a valid response).
What you can win
At the end of the contest, we will randomly select three winners from all eligible entries to receive one of the three televisions shown above.
This contest runs from June 1st to June 15th.
Remember you can enter once for each brand of television offered as a prize in this contest. However, you must know lots of people who would be thrilled for a chance to win one of these televisions. Share this contest with them and tell them to read the instructions carefully so each of their entries is valid and gives them a chance to win.

I love the design of the Samsung The Frame 55″ 4K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV (QN55LS03TAFXZC) with the ability of the television to become a piece of art when not in use. This would be perfect for my decorating style as I dislike having a TV become the focus in the room.
For LG’s TVs, I am most excited about the LG NanoCell technology. My favourite LG model is the LG NanoCell 65″ 8K UHD HDR LED webOS Smart TV (65NANO99UNA).
For Samsung’s TVs, I am most excited about the 8K resolution. My favourite Samsung model is the Samsung 55″ 4K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV (QN55Q80RAFXZC).
For Sony’s TVs, I am most excited about the top of the line colour technology – TRILUMINOS Display. My favourite Sony model is the Sony 55″ 4K UHD HDR LED Android Smart TV (XBR55X900F).
LG:
a) LG’s NanoCell technology

The ultra-slim LG NanoCell technology of LG will allow TVs to simply be part of a wall and not take up unnecessary space. The model I would pick is:
LG 65″ 4K UHD HDR OLED webOS Smart TV (OLED65GXPUA)
Sony’s acoustic surface audio in the BRAVIA 65″ 4K UHD HDR OLED Android Smart TV (XBR65A8H) has me very excited. No longer needing additional speakers for the sound quality I’m looking for!
Samsung:
The 8K resolution on Samsung will give next level clarity and detail on the TV. The model I would pick is: Samsung 65″ 8K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV (QN65Q800TAFXZC) – Titan Black

LG NanoCell 65″ 4K UHD HDR LED webOS Smart TV Smart TV (65NANO90UNA)
I just read the LG has 8K resolution and wonder what impact that would have visually. Are the differences (eg between 4K and 8K) getting too small to see with the naked eye? Or is that doubled number increasing the definition in a way that is noticeable? I am going to need to go in to Best Buy and check this out to satisfy my curiosity! I like the LG 65″ 4K UHD HDR OLED webOS Smart TV (OLED65CXPUA) – it is interesting that it senses ambient light to provide the best viewing experience.
LG:
a) NanoCell technology
b) LG NanoCell 65″ 4K UHD HDR LED webOS Smart TV Smart TV (65NANO90UNA)
The feature that stands out to me about the Sony TV is the triluminous display. The whole point of having a TV is to have the most realistic looking pictures. The model I’m interested in is the Sony 75″ 4k TV xbr75x950h.
I like Sony:
a) TRILUMINOS
b) Sony 65″ 4K UHD HDR LED Android Smart TV
I’m a gamer and from what I read, LG is expanding NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility to the 2020 OLED TVs to provide a flawless gaming experience. AI-powered video gives you an edge with less lag, variable refresh rates, and incredibly smooth and responsive gameplay. Less lag is important and 120 hz on the new consoles would be amazing.
Samsung:
a) Samsung 8K Quantum Processor
b) Samsung 55″ 4K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV (QN55Q70RAFXZC)
Samsung’s 8k technology would be great. I’m looking to pick up a PS5 so 8k would be amazing,
LG’s NanoCell smart TV with a 65″ screen with 3840 x 2160 resolution and 4K Ultra HD would look great in my living room. Impressive!
TRILUMINOS Display sounds amazing. Colourful video picture with rich real-world detail and a wider range of brightness. Sounds great to me!
Samsung’s Quantum Dot technology with 100% colour volume sounds intriguing. It would be great to win it and experience it at home.
Samsung’s frame looks so cool and Samsung The Frame 65″ 4K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV (QN65LS03TAFXZC) – Charcoal Black
LG has this nanocell technology which sounds impressive, if it really makes the colors more true to life. And of course, one would need to go with something fairly large (and 8k) to really show it off, like the LG NanoCell 75″ 8K UHD HDR LED webOS Smart TV (75SM9970PUA)
Sony’s TRILUMINOS Display is what catches my eye. Would be great to win that Sony TV,
Sony:
a) TRILUMINOS

I like the LG gallery feature and the model LG NanoCell 75 8K UHD HDR LED Web OS smart tv

Lg entry. I like the LG gallery feature and the model LG NanoCell 75 8K UHD HDR LED Web OS smart tv
Awesome prizes
Samsung’s Quantum Processor with AI upscaling interests me by providing 4k resolution for most content. Therefore my favourite Samsung TV is the 75″ QN75Q70TAFXZC.
Lg- I like the LG gallery feature and the model LG NanoCell 75 8K UHD HDR LED Web OS smart tv

Samsung entry
With Samsung, the 4K technology has me excited – we are about to get a 4K xBox and I know the game resolution will be truly amazing at its full potential on a 4K tv! I love the Samsung 65″ 4K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV (QN65Q90TAFXZC) – Titan Black – I like the slim profile. We have Samsung tvs now and I have always loved their great picture and the smart tv function is so useful!
Samsung- I like the Quantum dot display. I would like model Samsung 98’ 8K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV
I like theSony Triluminos display and I would love to have LED Sony X950H 4K HDR LED TV
Always great contests
I have had Samsung TVs, and always liked the audio out of them. I think the sound processing, including the Adaptive Sound Optimizer+ would be interesting, such as in the Samsung 65″ 4K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV (QN65Q80TAFXZC) which has 4 speakers.
LG Nano Colour Pro technology seems quite nice. I find, that often times, and perhaps this may be a case of poor choice of demonstration video, images are often too bright with not enough contrast. The LG Nano Colour Pro technology, seems like it would make up for some disappointing visuals. If my budget permitted, I’d get the LG NanoCell 75″ 4K UHD HDR LED webOS Smart TV Smart TV (75NANO90UNA). First, the enhanced contrast is appealing, next would be the smart features. I think the size would work perfectly in our family roo and finally, I have a 10 year old 55inch LG. It still produces great images and I have to say, it has been a very reliable television. It hasn`t disappointed, so I am kind of partial to the brand, especially since we have tried other brands for smaller sets, and they have not proven as reliable.
I like the Sony Triluminos display and I would like to have LED Sony X950H 4K HDR LED TV
Good prize

Sony’s X-clarity is the technology that interests me for video game use and watching sports and for this reason my favourite Sony TV is the 75″ XBR75X950H.
Sony’s TRILUMINOS Display intrigues me because, as a visual artist, colour and visual detail are so important to me. I love that they are bringing images to life with incredible graphics. The Sony 65″ 4K UHD HDR OLED Android Smart TV (XBR65A8G) looks amazing – an ideal size for our den, and my husband tells me that OLED means each pixel emits its own light whereas with LED the pixels colour the light that shines through them. It’s a bit technical for me, but I have seen them in person and the OLED is an amazing visual experience.
the colours in the TRILUMINOS with sony sounds amazing. theSony 85″ 4K UHD HDR LED Android Smart TV (XBR85X950G) sounds like an amazing tv
