Celebrate the fun and excitement of PC Gaming during Intel® Gaming Week. Best Buy Canada kicks it off with great deals on Intel-powered laptops and PC Gaming accessories that will boost your gaming experience in ways you can only imagine. Running from May 12th to 26th. Intel Gaming Week features some of the top names in PC gaming including MSI and Dell (who supplied the prizes for this contest). Read on to learn more about Intel’s most advanced processors, including Intel’s 12th Gen processors released this year. Then enter for your chance to win one of the two amazing laptops we are giving away.
Step up your gaming and leap ahead of the competition
Last year Intel released the amazing 11th Gen H Series processors bringing desktop calibre performance to laptops. Intel called it, “Desktop power for any desk” because Intel-powered laptops have evolved to deliver comparable performance of a bulky desktop so you can play high resolution, maximum frame rate games anytime and anywhere.
This year Intel announced an evolutionary leap in computing with their 12th Gen series of processors. We covered the main features of this announcement in an article on the blog at the beginning of this year. Gamers will get huge performance improvements thanks to the new hybrid architecture. The 12th Gen series mobile processors feature up to 6 Performance cores (P-cores) optimized for maximum responsiveness, and up to 8 Efficient cores (E-cores) optimized for threaded workloads and background tasks. Power gamers will be able to overclock both sets of cores to get faster performance than ever before.
Built for the next generation of gaming
Obviously, a gaming laptop is used for much more than just gaming. The ability for a laptop to keep gaming performance at maximum intensity while also performing complex background tasks is becoming more and more important. Many games require a steady connection to the internet during a game, for competing and for communicating with team mates in other cities; for downloading game components and add-ons; and more.
One of the most demanding auxiliary tasks that gamers do is live streaming or live recording for later playback of their gameplay. There are many people already streaming on Twitch and YouTube, and most are not able to stand out. The fact is, many gamers don’t have a machine powerful enough to keep their gaming at a peak level while they stream: the demands of streaming can dramatically impact the quality and consistency of gameplay, and thereby affect how engage their audience is. Imagine the challenges for a laptop to try to keep up with the complexities of a battle, the graphic demands and more, while at the same time capturing the action and sharing it over the internet. 12th Gen Intel® CoreTM powered laptops were built so you get the best of both worlds: the best gaming laptop and the best multitasking laptop ever created. Streaming with a laptop like this may be just what you need to stand out from the crowd.
Now is your chance to take on the world
Intel Gaming days are your chance to find the right machine for your gaming needs at a great price. Throughout the event you’ll find great deals on the newest 11th gen and 12th gen Intel powered laptops. You’ll also find great deals on gaming monitors and peripherals. And you can enter this contest for a chance to win one of these two amazing laptops!

How to enter
Entering this contest is easy and you can enter in two different ways.
- In a comment below, tell us would you consider streaming your gameplay if you had one of the new laptops as discussed above, and why or why not. If you already stream your gameplay, do you post on a social site like YouTube or Twitch or just for fun (you can put your channel link here for some free advertising if you wish).
For up to three (3) additional entries, create a public post on a social media channel (one entry per channel!) telling your friends and followers that you are entering to win a Dell or MSI laptop from the Best Buy Blog’s Intel Gaming days contest; include the hashtag #BestBuyContest, so we can find your post, and include a picture of the prize like that shown here. Then return here and tell us in a comment below, on which channel you posted it and the name of your channel (since many people use pseudonyms) so that I can check and verify your entry. You can use any social media channel (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc) but the post must be public so we can verify it is there. Add one comment below for each social media channel for up to 3 contest entries.
What you can win
At the end of this contest we will randomly select two (2) winners from all eligible entries. One will receive the Dell G15 15.6″ Gaming Laptop and the other will receive the MSI GS66 Stealth 15.6″ Gaming Laptop.
This contest runs from May 6th to May 26th.
Remember you can enter in two different ways as described above. However, tell your friends to visit Best Buy during Intel gaming days to check out the deals and so they too have a chance to win a great gaming laptop.

Good luck.
I would not stream my gameplay since I am only a casual gamer.
i’ve never streamed before but i would be down to try if my friends would watch! sounds like fun
I love gaming but would be too embarrassed to stream….Maybe that would change with a fabulous new laptop.
Yes I would consider streaming if not just for the new experience.
No streaming. Haven’t a clue.

I have definitely thought of the possibility of streaming my gameplay, and using one of the laptops in the giveaway would allow me to pursue this avenue much more professionally. With the current chip shortage, it has been tough finding a system that I would be able to pair with my current gaming medium of choice (console gaming) and having a gaming laptop would not only enable things like using a capture card for uploading past streams, but also just the ability to interact with a fanbase and edit content which is currently difficult to do with just the console I have.
No, because I’m not good enough yet. This laptop though, might help me to improve my game!
i wouldnt as i am not good enough yet loll
I’m not likely to stream. It would be boring to watch me. I like to explore every part of a map and take my time doing so.
I might, when I find time to put out the effort
I would not stream my gameplay because I’m just a casual player.
No streaming – haven’t a clue!
I would not stream my gameplay till I improve.
I would not stream my gameplay because I’m just a casual player.
I probably wouldn’t stream my game play, as I’m not very good. Of course, it could be a comedy stream and bring some smiles to peoples faces. 🙂
I’ve considered streaming gameplay before, but have never actually gone ahead and done it.
Part of the reason why I haven’t is because I feel streaming the game would take away from my enjoyment of some of the games that I play (especially the ones that are narrative-focused).
If I do stream a game, it would have to be one without any commentary – and would be used as a way to look back on previous games I’ve played (for posterity) 🙂
I don’t think I would stream my gaming, but I would definitely enjoy a new gaming machine!
I would definitely consider streaming gameplay.
I don’t stream my Gameplay. I don’t think my wifi can keep up 😉
Time to learn how to stream……never tried it.
I would definitely consider streaming gameplay. Maybe some scary games. I can’t handle scary at all and guess it’d be entertaining for people to see me freak out. I don’t post on anything regularly but definitely would do Twitch!
Yes I would consider streaming my gameplay if I had one of the new laptops – that sounds like fun, I have never done that before, sounds good! Thanks for the chance to win!
I would not stream my gameplay
I wouldn’t stream yet, but once I’ve had a LOT more practice, I’d consider it!

I would not because I am a casual gamer!
I would consider streaming my game play if I got really good at it.
I prefer to capture gameplay videos to upload afterwards, given that my upload bandwidth is not great. Certainly a new gaming laptop would encourage me to capture and upload more gaming videos to YouTube, that is for sure.
I would consider streaming my gameplay to show of the features of the laptop.
Streaming would be awesome since I don’t have a computer good enough to do that right now
I would Stream but privately nothing public as that is not the kind of person I am. would stream with friends and family would also look at doing things like movie nights using the laptop to stream with friends and family.
I would stream just to try it out

I would totally stream. The only thing holding me back has been my ancient computer!
Nope not interested in steaming, but love games!
Maybe if I got good enough I might stream. Thanks for the chance.

I wouldn’t stream while playing just because I rather just focus on playing the game
I might stream via steam to my friends!
