‘Tis the season for all sorts of holiday excitement, from seeing old friends and relatives to catching classic holiday movie marathons. Of course, it’s also the season for gifts and we have some ideas for you.
Click here to skip to the HOW TO ENTER section of the article.
We’ve created an Advent Calendar at the Best Buy Warming Lounge at Union Station’s “Union Holiday” event in Toronto. We then stuffed it full of the top 24 gifts of the season, including exciting tech from top brands like Microsoft, Sony, Chromebook, and more.
But even if you can’t make it to the Warming Lounge itself, we’re taking the excitement of the Calendar nation-wide with a contest designed to give all of Canada a chance to win those gifts as they’re revealed each day. And we’re hosting that contest right here on our blog.
Read on to learn more about the Lounge itself and how to enter our contest.
Experience Holiday Excitement at the Best Buy Warming Lounge
Nestled in the heart of downtown Toronto, beside the iconic Union Station’s fantastic new skating rink, is a warm and cozy haven where anyone can come in out of the cold, relax, and explore a winter wonderland of tech: The Best Buy Warming Lounge.
Our knowledgeable and friendly staff will be there to greet you, inviting you in to make yourselves at home and explore all the wonderful activities and tech we’ve got lined up for you. Devices from leading brands will be featured at the Lounge, giving you a chance to go hands-on with some of the season’s top tech.
Our Personal Gift Advisors will help you find the perfect gift for someone special. Blue Shirt Advisors will take some time to understand the needs of the people on your gift list. Then, they’ll give you some knowledgeable advice on the best gifts to give.
Nothing perks up the day quite like a fun gaming session. It’s a good thing, then, that we’ll have gaming consoles in the lounge for you to enjoy. Take home a snapshot of your day at the lounge. Our staff will be bringing around Fujifilm INSTAX mini Link Smartphone Printers, giving you the opportunity to snaps some pictures with your phone, link up wirelessly, then print out your favourite moments from the lounge. The excitement extends to social media with Instagram contests and giveaways. Visit, post, and share the fun.
What’s a holiday lounge without Santa Claus? On special weekends, the Best Buy Warming Lounge will play host to Santa himself. And you can expect other great festive surprises too.
Our Advent Calendar Wall in the Warming Lounge captures the excited anticipation of the holidays by providing a fun countdown until December 24th. Inside the Advent Calendar are Best Buy’s Top 24 gifts of the season. Each day, one of the Top 24 gifts will be unveiled in person, then shared on social media, and here on the blog. (NOTE: These gifts are the contest prizes we will be giving away in this blog contest!)
Excitement that begins at Union Station then extends to all of Canada
So if you are in the Toronto area come on down to the Best Buy Warming Lounge at Union Holiday, have a skate, warm yourself, and experience Holiday Excitement.
Even if you can’t make it to Toronto, follow Best Buy on Twitter and Facebook … and enter here on the blog to win one of the Top 24 gifts as revealed each day in December leading up to Christmas.
Our Top 24 gifts of the season will have something for everyone’s Christmas list. Each day from December 1st to 24th, one prize will be revealed at the Union Station Warming lounge and everyone who entered here on this blog post before that draw will be eligible to win that prize (click here for full contest rules and regulations).
