oculus quest 2 untethered gamingAn Oculus Quest 2 is real entertainment like you’ve never experienced before. Whether it’s watching a movie, playing a game, or exploring a new travel destination, you will not believe how close you get to being part of the action. This is definitely one of the hottest entertainment/gaming devices of the year, and we are very happy to be able to offer two as prizes in this contest.

Oculus Quest 2 is virtual reality with no strings attached

Finally VR has become what we all thought it was to begin with. You see, VR promised to allow us to feel like we are in a different place or time. Some do this better than others, and some, like the original Oculus, have been quite amazing. However, it’s hard to totally immerse yourself in a game or movie when an attached cable keeps tugging you back to the real world. That’s one of the immediate advantages of the Oculus Quest 2: with no tether, no attached cable, you quickly lose yourself—the virtual environment essentially becomes the real world for you!

  1. The games for the quest look super fun and I can’t wait to see how the movie watching experience is!

  2. Travel virtual worlds unknown.
    Communicate across boundaries.
    Learn with wild new tools.
Oh, and playing tennis inside without a mansion. 🙂

  3. The thing I love about the oculus is that it is standalone sooo no pc required yayyy… above all the fact that it can be played anywhere you want is just amazing!!!
I will be using it to play games like beat saber and super hot.

  4. This looks so cool! I love the fact that its not connected to a cord so your not tied down. I would definitely try out some games on it.

  5. Love the standalone design, oculus is far beyond other VR companies. I’ll be playing games when I can my hands on one.

  6. I love that you can use it standalone or plugged into a PC. It’s great being able to exercise playing Beat Saber out in the backyard but then being able to plug it into a PC to play something like Half-Life Alyx. Would also be cool to watch a movie with friends in a virtual theatre!

  7. With everything shitting down again this would not be a VR headset for me but reality itself, I plan on spending every waking moment in this thing doing whatever I would normally do in real life, no wait, oculus would be real life, no more walking or eating, I’d exercise on the oculus instead, eat over there, do everything I’d need to do over there, bbye pandemic! , In all seriousness I just want to get into VR and this headset makes it so easy to both play as a standalone console or connect to a pc and play steam vr games for example, sick!

  8. Quest 2 being wireless and having higher resolution lenses are the two main reasons I want one. That white be lookin slick too tho

  9. I use it in the classroom. I love it because my students (highschool) could travel any where! I’m finding creative ways to teach with the Quest 2. Especially science! They really enjoy this headset.

  10. Amazing! no wires, thats great. I wonder if you can use it with your work out and be somewhere not your home. Obviously great for gaming.

  11. The fact that this headset is completly wireless is what set it apart from other headsets. Always held off on buying one because of the cables, But this one is really interesting.

I definitly would use it for gaming.

  12. Amazing! no wires, thats great. I wonder if you can use it with your work out and be somewhere not your home. especially when it is hard to travel. Obviously great for gaming.

  13. I’m most excited to use the Oculus Quest 2 for gaming and movies. It would be a great escape for my family.

  14. I love that the quest 2 doesn’t need the pesky cables that hindered it’s predecessors and that it’s a relatively cheap vr console all things considered. I can’t wait to either win one or buy one and hop into the immersion of swordfights or flying in VR.

  15. Best part of the Quest 2 is it’s wireless feature. Looking forward to play workout games like Beat Saber on it

  16. I have tried it and think it’s a great all round piece of kit. The whole family could use it from fun games individually, to casting to the TV for all to enjoy and even educational apps/games set in space and in the sea… My youngest would loose his mind..

  17. I would really like to have! It’s like very fun! Especially with Covid we don’t have much to do with the family

  18. I have tried it and think it’s a great all round piece of kit. The whole family could use it from fun games individually, to casting to the TV for all to enjoy and even educational apps/games set in space and in the sea… My youngest would loose hos mind..

  19. I like the fact it’s a stand-alone product and does not need a high-end computer to use. Looking forward to watching movies and playing games with them

  20. Would absolutely love to have one one for my daughter so we could use for the social interaction and multi-player features. We share one at the moment. The potential of this and the learning and functional features for the future are limitless; especially with the hand tracking abilities.
The unit being wireless absolutely seals the deal and truly enhances the immersion
The opportunity to interact together would be priceless.

  21. The wireless capabilities are a big plus. Number one benefit on my list is the Star Wars Tales From Galaxy’s Edge. I would play that first 100%!

    • I will give it to my two daughters as a gift for their birthdays this December 2020. Both would like to explore the world. I like the fact that it is without tether, my kids would be able to virtually walk around freely and see Disneyland, Universal Studio, the Golden Gate Bridge, Banff, Jasper and everything there to see away from the dangers of COVID-19.

    • I love how you don’t need a PC to use the Oculus. I’ve never played VR gaming and I always wanted to.

  22. No Quest-ion about it: this is the breakout device that will bring VR into the mainstream. Entertainment expectations will change and so will education – VR environments can bring us better recreations of history, job training (but not Surgeon Simulator!), exercise, and connection with our peers.
Looking forward to trying out apos that represent each use case in hopes that we’ll all be interesting within virtual environments as soon

  23. I love that it’s able to be used both untethered and tethered! It will become my go-to gaming machine, for sure.

  24. What can’t the oculus be used for? Socializing, exercising, relaxing and watching a movie…it’s most versatile than sliced bread.

  25. I love the features and specs of the oculus 2, the ability to play steam games as well as standalone games on the headset is very appealing.

I am a gamer at heart, it would be used for gaming entertainment hands down!

  26. It’s amazing that the Quest 2 is one of thr best wired headsets and the best wireless. I’d love to use it with my gaming PC it to run Halflife Alex and then unplug it to try out Population One without wires. Also, great way to connect with people during covid lockdown with Echo Area and Horizon coming soon.

  27. Had a Quest but my ex-wife took it. I Miss having it. Loved the games and watching movies on the big screen right in my home.

    Would love a Quest 2.

  28. I got to try it out and was amazed just looking around in the lobby. It really takes you to another place. I played Fruit ninja for like an hour, it’s so awesome in VR. I would gift this to my kids for Xmas.

  29. Some VR gaming my kids would love. Half Life Alyx looks amazing from what I’ve seen, would be good to try on such a nice system.
