oculus quest 2 untethered gamingAn Oculus Quest 2 is real entertainment like you’ve never experienced before. Whether it’s watching a movie, playing a game, or exploring a new travel destination, you will not believe how close you get to being part of the action. This is definitely one of the hottest entertainment/gaming devices of the year, and we are very happy to be able to offer two as prizes in this contest.

Oculus Quest 2 is virtual reality with no strings attached

Finally VR has become what we all thought it was to begin with. You see, VR promised to allow us to feel like we are in a different place or time. Some do this better than others, and some, like the original Oculus, have been quite amazing. However, it’s hard to totally immerse yourself in a game or movie when an attached cable keeps tugging you back to the real world. That’s one of the immediate advantages of the Oculus Quest 2: with no tether, no attached cable, you quickly lose yourself—the virtual environment essentially becomes the real world for you!

  1. I’m 65 hiding from the coronavirus up in the mountains by myself I’ve seen the Oculus rift development kit a few years back at work and I tried the roller coaster… it was so realistic and unbelievable.!! I bought one on eBay but I can’t seem to get it to work. I didn’t even know that you could watch movies with this but that would be great too since I’m by myself. I’ve been in the tech development for 30 some years and when my grandkids come up this would be great entertainment and not working puts a bite on the budget

  2. Can’t wait to try the increased resolution. The last VR I tried was the Original Vive and the Samsung headset, and the screen door effect was very noticeable to me.

  3. I already have one so I would give it to my brother, so we can reconnect during the Covid-19 lockdown. And we are both middle aged, so we need the exercise.

  4. Next generation gaming is here with virtual reality. No strings attached. Excited for a chance to try it out!

  5. I love that it keeps you active while you game. It’s a great headset since it is a stand alone but you can also use it with a gaming pc.

  6. Being wireless is the best part about the product. Will use it for gaming mainly but I also want to explore using it as a productivity tool.

  7. I would use it for gaming, but also to “go to places” and see the world in VR. I can’t think of a better time to immerse myself into VR than during a lockdown!

  8. Wireless is key. I would use it for games and entertainment, though I bet some of the education possibilities would be great for my daughter. Also there are a couple of cool vr meeting apps I would try to replace Zoom

  9. I take care of my in laws who are both disabled and cant get out much. I love that the Oculus would get them up and moving and will let them see environments other then there 4 walls. My father in law can’t wait to go fishing. I’m saving for 1 but since I’m the only one who works out of 4 adapts and 1 child it might take a minute.

  10. I love that it does need sensors to put up around the house and everything is in the headset. Also it can be attached to a PC as well.

  11. I think the increased refresh rate will be great. I have a Quest 1, and thoroughly enjoy the games, and how they get you moving.

  12. Tried this for the first time yesterday! I love the unique interactiveness and visuals. Would give as a gift to my boyfriend! 🙂

  13. I look forward most to playing fitness games. Beat Sabre and Oh Shape look really fun. And I’m curious how that Darth Vader game would be.

    • I love the Oculus Quest 2 because I’ve never been able to try it out and I have never had a VR experience. So, please I hope to get it

  14. The ability for the Oculus Quest 2 to operate stand alone or interface with a PC is an incredibly powerful feature that helps to open VR to the mainstream

  15. I’ve long wanted to try my ideas in VR content for recreation, never had the headset to do that though, would love to have one)

  16. I can’t believe this thing is completely wireless! This is straight out of science fiction. I would try everything on it!

  17. My son wants to make 3D games and videos. We both want to play 3D games. We both like that it’s both stand-alone and PC driven. Please enter me in the draw!

  18. I love it’s standalone setup and its portability. I would use it for creative purposes such as air painting and as well for entertainment like watching movies and playing vr games.

  19. Oculus is a great to get kids engaged in an interactive environment that is different from handheld gaming….especially kids with special needs.

My son uses this at vision therapy and loves it! Having one at home will be fun and engaging for all.

  20. Love the ability to interact with people all around the world
Use it to watch marvel movies on big screen

  21. I love the escape it can give your or the ability to calm you when you need it and to reconnect to the world. I would use it to talk to family and interact more towards the.

  22. I love that this is wireless and light! I would use this for movies and my son would use it for gaming!

  23. The Quest 2 has great visual fidelity for a standalone headset and the library of games is pretty extensive. I love the controllers and they have great ergonomics, tracking and haptic feedback. There’s quite a few games ideal for working out and plenty of action or narrative driven titles. Overall the Quest 2 is a blast for both gaming and watching movies. I would gift the Quest 2 to my best friend for his upcoming birthday to share the amazing fun that is the Quest 2.

    Cheers!
