How to enter our Play at Best Buy contest

Entering this contest is easy and you can enter in two different ways:

  1. From May 20th to June 30th, in a comment below this article, tell us what gaming gear that is available at Best Buy you would like to get, and how it would improve your gaming experience; you must include the link to that product from the Best Buy website in your comment. 
  2. From June 3rd to June 30th, Best Buy will hide a coin (like the one you see here) somewhere on the Play at Best Buy event page;  click on that coin to reveal a secret code located somewhere on the next page. Once you have the code, email it to bestbuyblog@bestbuycanada.ca with “Play at Best Buy Contest” in the subject. Do not post the code in a comment on the blog. Each Friday during June (for a total of four Fridays) the Best Buy team will place the coin in a new location on the Play at Best Buy event page and clicking on it will lead you to a new secret code that you can then email to the blog team for an additional contest entry. That means you can enter four times by emailing those four unique codes. Make sure to come back to this contest and send each week’s unique code to our email address for the best chance to win! 

What you can win

At the end of this contest we will randomly draw 8 winners from all eligible entries posted on the blog (in English and French) and sent via email; each will receive one of the prize packages listed here: Xbox Series S package, Nintendo Switch OLED package, PlayStation 5 Digital Edition package, Samsung Smart TV, Meta Quest 2, Razer package, HyperX package, and Corsair package.

    I grew up with Nintendo as a kid, and I haven’t been able to play anything for years! This would be a great opportunity to get into gaming and do it with the titles I love most!

  6. After a medical emergency on May 27th 2021, I asked my occupational therapist if incorporating playing games on my PlayStation 4 would assist with recovery. The medical team agreed and 7 days a week I would play whatever I liked (FIFA21 being a huge hit). The required manual dexterity helped immensely and today I have 95% of the use of my left arm back – a major step given how badly impacted the left side of my body was

    I still play and while the gains are slower after year 1, they are still happening!

    I am looking to pick up a PlayStation 5 Digital at some point (now that I have recovered enough to go back to work!)

  7. I am a huge fan of PC gaming and would love to play all throughout the day if i can. Sadly i am an adult and have responsibilities which I must bear now 🙁
