How to enter our Play at Best Buy contest

Entering this contest is easy and you can enter in two different ways:

  1. From May 20th to June 30th, in a comment below this article, tell us what gaming gear that is available at Best Buy you would like to get, and how it would improve your gaming experience; you must include the link to that product from the Best Buy website in your comment. 
  2. From June 3rd to June 30th, Best Buy will hide a coin (like the one you see here) somewhere on the Play at Best Buy event page;  click on that coin to reveal a secret code located somewhere on the next page. Once you have the code, email it to bestbuyblog@bestbuycanada.ca with “Play at Best Buy Contest” in the subject. Do not post the code in a comment on the blog. Each Friday during June (for a total of four Fridays) the Best Buy team will place the coin in a new location on the Play at Best Buy event page and clicking on it will lead you to a new secret code that you can then email to the blog team for an additional contest entry. That means you can enter four times by emailing those four unique codes. Make sure to come back to this contest and send each week’s unique code to our email address for the best chance to win! 

What you can win

  1. My husband desperately needs a new gaming chair! This would be perfect for improving his gaming experience. The he has, well technically he is using a wooden chair lol is so bad for posture, and simply falling apart. Looking through the Best Buy website, the Esports Central 200 Series Gaming Chair looks like a good choice, affordable and not too overly excessive.

I would need an excellent big desk to fit the 55-inch tv, ps5, accessories and hopefully my laptop.   24. The Xbox Series X wireless Bluetooth controller would help me to be able to connect to Bluetooth on the Amazon firestick or other laptop and other devices to be able to play games on any of those devices with excellent controls that are smooth.

  47. While all the prizes presented are incredible, my eyes are drawn to the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition. As a gamer I have always held onto my older consoles due to the memories I have forged with them, but when I first saw the PS5 it was like an introduction to an old friend after many years apart, seeing how much they have changed and improved since you last saw them.

    The PlayStation 5 is revolutionary in the world of console gaming with its new controllers alone, from its clean design and the all new “haptic feedback,” which would bring me one step further in my pursuit of immersion in my gaming experience.

    Furthermore the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition would allow me to finally see the beautiful worlds in games in a higher resolution at twice the faster FPS, games like MLB The Show, Gran Turismo 7 , and Horizon Forbidden West and so many more which I can upgrade. Additionally, for the first time ever I can play a majority of older games again on the PS5 with its backwards compatibility, games that I have been unable to play in years, which is an amazing experience alone.

    Lastly in regards to my gaming experience, the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition would allow me to do the one thing that I purchased my first console for: to hang out with my friends anywhere, no matter the distance apart and to experience the new worlds in video games with them. As my old console is coming to an end of its cycle it, it was this thought which rang in my head, combined with all the other reasons listed before you reader in this brief writing is why I seek the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition as it would exponentially improve my gaming experience.
