In the last decade we have become a streaming society. Roku has been a huge part of the transition by enabling us to connect a small device to any television to instantly make it capable of showing anything we want to see. Their selection of channels was unmatched by any other streaming service. They added to this experience a few years ago when they improved the onscreen interface and added their own Roku channel. Suddenly you could find old favourites and new favourites quickly in one location.

It makes sense then that the newest iteration of Roku would introduce the ability for us to stream amazing audio too. In fact, when I hooked it up to try it out in my home, the first thing I streamed was Spotify, thinking, “Let’s hear how Eddie sounds on this speaker!” I have to say, Van Halen sounded pretty amazing!

  2. Being hybrid where the Roku Streambar combines the 4K streaming capabilities of a streaming stick, box or smart TV, all wrapped up in a sound bar package

    Love the fact that this one has a small footprint, clear sound and it can quite commercials.

  11. Using it as an audio device and to keep accounts in one place while traveling would make this an awesome present for the traveler or the stay at home person!

  12. I had connected other speaker with Roku tv, I did not get any sound quality. Even the hardest thing was if I stream the sound from Roku app , it’s only support few application. So Roku bar will overcome this limitation.

  15. I like the size of the Roku soundbar. It’s not a full home theatre size soundbar but it’s an ideal upgrade for the poor quality speakers in most flat screen TVs.

  19. Gotta agree with a lot of the commenters about the commercials being quieter, nice to see everything smoothed out!

  21. The feature I like most about the
    Roku Streambar is the Automatic Volume Leveling setting. It would be great to watch movies at regular (or loud) levels at night while the kids are sleeping and not worry the commercials or loud scenes will wake up them up!!!!

  23. I like the combo of streamer and sound bar together. Plus the automatic levelling is not going to startle me.

  27. I would say size since all the brand claim to have clearer voice, night volume feature that barely works. This one packs a bit punch in a small package.

  31. Compact Size: I simply loved the idea of having a size like that too packed with great sound. I can fit it right beside my ROKU TV. Excited for this one.

  33. I’ve been thinking about a soundbar. I like that this is both devices in one for a clean look. Alexa control would also be a big win for me.
