So many people have Sony on their wishlist at Christmas time. I’m surprised no one has invented a holiday song related to finding Sony under the tree on Christmas morning. Holiday songs are all about traditions we cherish and repeat and I think Sony has become part of many people’s holiday tradition. Don’t we all have a Sony holiday memory? I know I do.

A long, long time ago, I was dying for a portable cassette player: and of course Sony was “the brand” with their Walkman line. There aren’t many gifts from my past that I remember opening, but I can recall unwrapping that bright yellow Walkman Sport like the one shown here—vividly remember!

My first thin LED big screen TV was, and still is, a Sony. I’ve had it for over 13 years now and still love the picture quality. When it finally bids me farewell, the Sony XBR55A8G that we are giving away in this contest would be a fantastic replacement. I sent one of these to Shelly to review and she absolutely loved it for watching the newest movies and even for gaming. The OLED screen really has to be seen to be believed—it is that amazing!   8. Best Sony memory was me and my brother playing Crash Bandicoot (from Naughty Dog, a Sony first party studio) on the Sony Playstation we got for Christmas. We were kids and didn’t know how to save the game progress, so we would leave the console on all day night.. and the year after our parents got us Sony memory cards for Christmas. We started clearing more games, Final Fantasy, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, tonnes of great games on the PlayStation and definitely opened up a huge part of my life, even now as an adult. Feels good to grow up with such great memories on a Sony product. Would love to own a Sony Alpha series camera one day, been wanting one since they acquired Konica/Minolta. Cheers!!

  12. My favourite Sony memory is the PS2. My parents said if we can save enough money to buy it with our Xmas money then we can get It. Little did we know they had purchased it for us for Christmas morning and let us keep the money and save it for future spending

I remember buying a second hand ps2 for the families first video game system the boys had such a good bonding time when playing it , an updated PS4 to go with the tv would bring back those memories now that the kids are grown up and moving on with their lives It would make the holidays so much more if we could make new memories

    • Sony oh my Sony, as a young man after I got my ist job and decided to leave my parents I saved up my salary and paid in installments just to buy my Sony Bravia tv BX311 and Sony Bravia DVD home theatre system DAV-DZ840k in my living room.
      I also saved and got another Sony Bravia tv for my bedroom.
      In the month of October 2019 I started saving my salary so as to get a new 4k Sony Bravia 55 inches because of my undying love for Sony so I could upgrade my living room this Christmas but unfortunately I lost my job in the month of November 2019. It’s so painful as it dashed all hopes of getting my desired Sony Bravia 55 inches 4k tv for my 2019 Christmas . But I won’t give up as I intend to still get it when I secure a new job. IF NOT SONY LIFE WILL NOT BE SUNY. SONY FOR LIFE.
