So many people have Sony on their wishlist at Christmas time. Sony under the Christmas tree

I’m surprised no one has invented a holiday song related to finding Sony under the tree on Christmas morning. Holiday songs are all about traditions we cherish and repeat and I think Sony has become part of many people’s holiday tradition. Don’t we all have a Sony holiday memory? I know I do.

A long, long time ago, I was dying for a portable cassette player: and of course Sony was “the brand” with their Walkman line. There aren’t many gifts from my past that I remember opening, but I can recall unwrapping that bright yellow Walkman Sport like the one shown here—vividly remember!

My first thin LED big screen TV was, and still is, a Sony. I’ve had it for over 13 years now and still love the picture quality. When it finally bids me farewell, the Sony XBR55A8G that we are giving away in this contest would be a fantastic replacement. I sent one of these to Shelly to review and she absolutely loved it for watching the newest movies and even for gaming. The OLED screen really has to be seen to be believed—it is that amazing!   1. My first unforgettable Sony memory starts when got my first original PlayStation for Christmas many moons ago. I recall the whole family having a blast laughing and playing games all Christmas day. It was my first real Sony memory. It would be absolutely incredible this year to get the Sony Playstation 4 so the newest generation in my family might also experience unforgettable Sony moments of their own. Merry Christmas.

  2. Oh my, I think you should include the Sony A6000 Mirrorless Camera with 16-50mm/55-210mm Lenses in your holiday guide, because everyone needs a good camera! I mean, there are some great cameras on the latest cell phones, but nothing beats using a camera with lenses for zooming in on nature, people, places and things. Maybe I will get lucky and have a Sony story to tell you one day, but for now, I am dreaming of a Sony 4K TV! 🙂

  31. my wife used airmiles years ago to buy our biggest tv at the time, a 28 inch Sony, it wasn’t a flat screen and must have weighed a hundred pounds. still works and we use it because I don’t want to move it again

  36. I remember reviving a Sony discman, but shortly after the MP3 player came out. I’ve seen this tv in stores and wow Very clean, upright appearance with a razor-thin border and INCREDIBLE 4k picture.

  41. I’ve always been a Sony fanboy, from Walkman to discman, and all Playstation. I’d love a 4k tv replacement for my 1080p Sony tv to go with my ps4 pro before ps5 comes out. I haven’t tried the 4k feature yet on ps4.

  43. A PS4 pro! I’ll never forget waking up on Christmas morning unwrapping a big box under the tree, seeing the blue PS2 box made me and my brother so excited, we stopped unwrapping everything else to set up the PS2 and get to playing! I could definitely do that again with a PS4 pro 🙂
