XYZ printers are perfect for both personal and professional use. Easy to use and solidly built so you can begin creating immediately and develop your printing skills over time. They come in a variety of models, some especially designed for people new to the world of 3D printing. You’ll be creating a wide range of functional and fun projects in no time. This contest offers four XYZ printers, each aimed at a different technical skill level.

What can you do with an XYZ 3D printer

Unlike your traditional inkjet paper printer, XYZ printers print in 3 dimensions. Layer by layer the printer will build a huge range of items, from model figures from your favourite movies, to useful items for all areas of your home. Here are just a few of the great uses people have discovered for home 3D printers:

  1. Use the printer for prototyping. The XYZ printer allows you to quickly and easily create prototypes of your designs, so you can test and refine them before committing to production.
  2. Create custom gifts and decorations. The XYZ printer allows you to create personalized gifts and decorations, such as custom-made jewelry, ornaments, and figurines.
  3. Turn your ideas into reality. The XYZ printer makes it easy to bring your ideas to life, whether you’re a professional designer, artist, or just a hobbyist looking to try something new.

Yes they are novel but home printing of any type was novel just a couple decades ago. Now we all print documents for work and school: it’s normal and natural to do so. Similarly, 3D printing is taking off. It won’t be long before it will become natural to print a spatula when you need one, or to print a broken part for your car, rather than buying one off the internet.

How quickly can you learn to print with an XYZ Printer

Getting started with an XYZ Printer is pretty simple. Each printer comes with some starter filament so you can get going right away. You will also need a computer to run the included software that enables you to design your masterpiece, or use one of the thousands of designs available on the internet. The community of 3D printer enthusiasts shares their creations so you can do them yourself. The XYZ website also has a collection of these designs too: download them to your computer and begin creating amazing toys, tools, and more.

Quickly you will master the process and want to individualize your creations with colour filament of your choosing. We sent an XYZprinting Printer to Marcus for an honest review. Marcus had never tried 3D printing before; you will see that the included instructions were simple to follow; he quickly learned the process and printed several items. Each of the prizes we are giving away will come with an additional coloured spool of filament so you can immediately experiment with different colours. You can order many additional colours from bestbuy.ca as well.

  1. Me and my husband have a few ideas for ‘inventions’ that would improve certain daily use items, and I was just saying to him we need a 3D printer to make prototypes – so that is what we would use ours for. Thank you for the opportunity.

  2. So many things are possible with this printer, but I think I’d start with custom cards, decorations and artwork, I am starting a small business and it would be lovely to be able to offer this type of printing as a service too.

  3. I want to 3D print is a fully functional, motorized miniature replica of a classic car, such as a vintage Ford Model T or a 1960s Ferrari. These replicas can be quite intricate and detailed, with working doors, steering, and suspension. They can be made using a variety of different materials, including plastics and metals, and can be painted or finished to look like the real thing

  4. I would print jewellery and mini furniture, bits to cover the tops of screws in my coffee table, little gears and switches. It would be a great addition to my Glowforge and Cricut.

  5. Late at night i always have these ‘hmmm i wonder if that’s made” ideas. So i would print a prototype of some ideas I’ve had. Shhhh it’s a secret.

  6. I would definetly start printing cool dinosaur figures and others for my friends kids. I would instantly become their fav uncle!

  7. I would love to start printing custom Christmas ornaments for family and friends! It would be a very thoughtful present.

  8. I do woodwork as a hobby. The 3D printer would give me a lot more options for making patterns, It would sure be neat to experiment with.

  9. I would start with something small – jewellery. I imagine there would be a learning curve here – a big one – so I would want to start with something that I genuinely want to make, but that is small and not-too-complicated. Thank you for the contest, and the chance.

  10. I would like to create a collectable or tool having a quilting theme and use them for gifts or possibly sell them.

  11. I would definitely start by printing some parts for my car that was wrecked in an accident
