If you name any prominent rock guitarist, there’s a pretty good chance that they have played or do play a Gibson guitar. Gibson has a long history as an instrument maker and is celebrating their 120th anniversary this year.   To mark the 120th year milestone, Gibson has released their 2014 models with features that help with playability and look great too. 

Roku has just made media streaming to your TV even easier, by introducing their brand new Roku Streaming Stick today!    Roku has been one of the biggest and best names in media streaming devices, and continue to show that they want to stay a leader in that market. The NEW Roku Streaming Stick puts nearly all the capabilities of a regular Roku box into a stick that looks much like a USB flash drive. With this latest announcement they have brought down the price of streaming and made it even simpler as it just plugs into an HDMI input in the back of your TV.

Announced back in 2009, Thief was a long held standard in stealth gameplay, single handedly redefining the genre with the original Thief game, Thief: The Dark Project way back in ’98. New Televisions were a big part of last month’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Vegas, and the big brands were all strutting their stuff trying to take a lead position by showing off their latest and greatest technologies.  Some of it was a bit of fluff, but fortunately there was a lot of great stuff too. I am going to give you my take on the “best-in-show.”

You can’t have a Tomb Raider party and not invite the next generation to join in the fun!  Thats what Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is all about, putting in the High Definition. One of 2013s gaming highlights, Tomb Raider was a reboot as they should be, great story, great gameplay, and bringing an old character into a new era, and now a new generation too!  For you folks with the Xbox One or Playstation 4, this tomb raiding adventure has been sharpened, honed, and nicely quaffed (it’s a hair joke, you’ll get it once you’ve read the article).

January is a big month for new product announcements. In early January there was CES – the largest trade show for consumer electronics. Many companies keep their new products a secret so they can excite and surprise consumers with their announcements during the conference.  Late January has the NAMM show – the largest trade show in the world for musical instruments. Just like at CES, attendees at NAMM often keep the products they will present under wraps, until the show. What will be the biggest news in musical instruments for 2014.
