On July 2, Bandai Namco Entertainment showcased its upcoming video games during its 2025 Summer Showcase presentation. Fans got a closer look at the latest updates for some of the company’s flagship franchises. For example, Tekken 8 and Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot are both getting new content. I was especially looking forward to announcements about the major titles planned for the year ahead — and that’s exactly what I’m going to talk about!
My Hero Academia: All’s Justice

Unveiled during the event, My Hero Academia: All’s Justice brings the series back into the spotlight. This 3-on-3 action-fighting game kicks off the final arc of the My Hero Academia anime. Fans will follow Deku and his friends into the ultimate war between Heroes and Super-Villains. You’ll experience the monumental, decisive clash between One For All and All For One.
Developed while the final season of the show is still in production, the game offers an alternate take on the series finale. However, it has been confirmed that all Class 1-A members will be playable — a first for the franchise on consoles. During battles, each character’s unique Quirk can be fully used. A new “Flight” system will also be introduced, allowing heroes to unlock their full potential and significantly boost their power for truly epic showdowns.
The combat system was designed to be intuitive and accessible, so that anyone following the anime can enjoy the game — even if they’re not experienced gamers. I really appreciate this kind of care and respect for fans of a flagship franchise like My Hero Academia.
My Hero Academia: All’s Justice is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree

In Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree, the village of Shinju is under threat. Princess Towa joins eight guardians to stand against the growing darkness of Magatsu. During Bandai Namco’s presentation, the development team introduced two of the guardians. Rekka is a fierce samurai warrior. Founder of the Eternal Flame Dojo, she has sworn to serve as Towa’s personal bodyguard. Her mastery of weapons gives her a balanced fighting style, with wide-area attacks and powerful combos.
As for Nishiki, the humanoid koi carp is a deeply devout pilgrim — though, oddly enough, he can’t swim! As he travels the world, he sees defeating Magatsu as a form of philanthropy. Nishiki joins the battle with impressive mobility and a knack for chaining combos.
The game is a roguelike where each Celestial Child has their own unique abilities and swords, making every combat style distinct. Before each quest, you choose two guardians: one to wield the sacred Tsurugi sword, and the other to carry the magical Kagura staff. The landscapes to explore promise to be breathtaking, all set to the melodies of Hitoshi Sakimoto.
Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree will be released on September 15 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Shadow Labyrinth

This is definitely a game I’m keeping an eye on! Why? Because it features Pac-Man in a darker universe. For those who’ve followed the Secret Level animated series, the episode “Pac-Man: Circle” serves as a prequel. This was confirmed at Bandai Namco’s Summer Showcase. All the more reason to pique fans’ curiosity.
In Shadow Labyrinth, you play as Swordsman No. 8, awakened by PUCK, a floating yellow orb, on a mysterious planet filled with relics from past wars. It’s a 3D platformer with plenty of action and intense battles, as shown in the footage. To survive, you’ll need to uncover numerous secrets, defeat your enemies, and become the ultimate predator — all while discovering your true purpose.
Shadow Labyrinth will be available starting July 18 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Digimon Story: Time Stranger

In this new installment of the Digimon Story series, you’ll journey to the Digital World. During an epic and emotional adventure, you’ll seek to uncover the mystery behind the apocalypse threatening the world. An agent from a secret organization encounters an unknown creature just before an explosion devastates the city. Awakening eight years earlier (!), he sets out on a mission to unravel the mystery behind these troubling events. How are these creatures, known as Digimon, connected to it all?
More than 450 Digimon can be tamed and trained in this turn-based role-playing game. Chance encounters with unique characters will shape your adventure across time and parallel worlds… and change destiny.
Digimon Story: Time Stranger will be released on October 3 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
