Premium TVs begin with outstanding new technology

I get this question quite frequently on the blog and on social media, “I want to buy a new TV; can you tell me which TV should I get?” My answer is to figure out your budget and space considerations for the room where it will be placed, then get the most future friendly TV with the largest screen that will fit in your home that you can afford. Future friendly means best technology available. And this year is a banner year for new technology in televisions.

I am planning on getting a new set for my home one day. I have a budget in mind and a TV size in mind (65 inch). I haven’t decided which brand to purchase yet because they are all so tempting! Each of the top manufactures has released new televisions with outstanding new technologies that make the colours more vibrant, details clearer, and the overall entertainment experience much better.

Do your research and plan for your next TV

Buying a television does require doing a bit of research. This contest will help you do that so you will know which future friendly Premium TV will be right for your home. There are three television prizes, one from each of the major TV manufacturers, Samsung, Sony, and LG, as shown here.

  5. Love love love LG’s new super slim displays 20mm thin. This will turn TVs from an appliance to a gallery piece to show off the latest hot entertainment.

    The LG NanoCell 65″ 8K UHD HDR LED webOS Smart TV (65NANO99UNA) is the perfect model for me. Super thin with the added bonus of 120Hz refresh rate with Motion Pro enhancement technology – perfect for the hockey playoffs.

  6. Samsung 8K Quantum Processor sounds interesting but I’m unsure of exactly what that would be equivalent to.

    Samsung 55″ 8K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV (QN55Q900RBFXZC) sounds nice on paper. Shame it uses the TizenOS. I have a Samsung 4K TV with that and it’s no longer supported after only 3 years. But the 8K visuals might make up for that…

  10. The Sony XBR65X950H with it’s X1 processor would be great. That’s the same chip as in the Nvidia Shield and Nintendo Switch. Great for file playback.

    a) I like the Triluminos Colour Technology! It would be amazing to have the capability of a cinematic experience especially during these times of staying home!!
    b) I like the SONY 950H with X1 Ultimate Processor because I think it has everything we need for all members of the family including hands free voice search!!

  14. The Samsung features that I think are really cool is the Quantum Processor also optimizes sound for each scene, and adjusts brightness to the room’s environment. I hate it when movies have super quiet dialogue and super loud action scenes, im constantly having to adjust sound.
