Although summer is waining, it’s not yet too late to get outside and enjoy the fresh air through a multitude of different activities. For instance, there’s nothing quite like feeling the wind in your hair as you ride around on a conveyance such as a hoverboard, skateboard, or scooter. Not only do these devices provide an excellent excuse for getting off the couch and out into the great outdoors, but today they’re also the fun focus of this blog article. Read on for some key information (and possibly even a little bit of inspiration) regarding each of these types of ride-on machines.

Hoverboards, skateboards, and scooters

If a hoverboard is something that appeals to you, there are so many great options to choose from today. These range from those intended for easy use on smooth surfaces by users of lighter weight to more heavy duty options for those of us that are a little bit heavier. For this reason, the model I’ll show you today is the XPRIT 8.5 White Heavy Duty All-Terrain HoverBoard.

This auto-balancing board has an upper weight limit of 100kg, which is 220 pounds, so you know it can handle a lot. It also offers a distance range of up to 9Km per charge of its built-in battery, Bluetooth technology for listening to your music, and it is UL2272 Certified. But best of all, this powerful board can go off-road with its oversized all-terrain tires and powerful electric motor. Over the last few years, I’ve had a good bit of experience with hoverboards just like this one, and I can certainly vouch for just how much fun they can be.

Next up is a scooter. Specifically it’s the Segway Ninebot eKickScooter E10 Electric Scooter, which is a scooter for older kids or even lighter (up to 60Kg/132 pound) adults, making it great for trips to the corner store or even moving between classes on a large university campus. It’s also great for just having fun! Not only can you ride the Ninebot at speeds of up to 16 Km/h, but you can also pack it around by hand in places where it can’t be ridden as it weighs just 8Kg. And, when you’re all finished riding, it folds up nicely for storage. Of course, Best Buy has many other scooters as well, and some of them have an even higher weight capacity and are great for work commutes and more. Additionally, there are both kick scooters and electric scooters available, so you can either do all the work yourself or have the scooter do it for you.

Finally I have a very cool skateboard to show you. While many of today’s skateboards have gone high tech, the one I’m showing here is more of a classic board with modern engineering and materials. It’s the PHAT 22″ Complete Plastic Retro Mini Skateboard Cruiser Street Surfing Skate Banana Board, and the feeling you’ll get while riding it down the street is indescribable.

This board has a plastic-injection moulded deck of the highest quality, super smooth 60mm PU wheels, precision stainless steel bearings, and everything else you need for a solid and sturdy ride every time you hop aboard. And since it only weighs 1.8Kg, it’s equally easy to carry around in places where you’re not permitted to ride. All up, it’s a very fine skateboard of the non-electric variety, though Best Buy does have plenty of other skateboards to pick from if this isn’t quite the right one for you.

Although some of the products discussed here do most of the hard work for you, they still provide a great opportunity to get outside and be active. For instance, simply maintaining balance on a skateboard or hoverboard is a solid workout for many—I know it is for me. Hoverboards, skateboards, and scooters are a great way to get you and your kids moving in the great outdoors this fall.
