LG has created a new premium phone, the G8x, that raises the bar for what a smartphone can be. It has two screens: the one that accompanies the regular phone and another screen in its case: click the phone in the case and suddenly your phone becomes a multi-tasking wonder machine. Additionally, it has one feature that most of us hated to lose on other new premium phones: a headphone jack! You may be wondering how much use you would get out of two screens on a phone. Personally, I think it’s life changing. Face it: we look at phones more than we look at our partners. So, a dual screen phone gives us twice as much to look at. You can watch “Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” on one screen and answer texts on the other. You can have the game on one screen and the controller can be on the other. The possibilities are ENDLESS!

    Having to close your screen to do something else is frustrating.

  2. I would watch the Winnipeg Jets play on one screen and face-time my daughter from Calgary on the other screen. We could watch the hockey game together !

  6. Wow, what an amazing new technology for sure. Well, if I were to win this….I would actually give this to my parents as a gift….as they are looking to upgrade to a cell phone 🙂 And this would be perfect for them for sure especially to have the 2 screens and literlaly the “endless” possible combinations of mult-tasking….and use of having different things on each screen, etc. I think the best and most convenient for them would be to have a full large keyboard on the one….and whatever they’re looking at (web page, e-mails, etc.) on the other. Even I would probably appreciate that the most, too). So many possibilities though 🙂

    • would totally use one for reference work while I’m working on something. Like research stuff and writing a script or defence picture while drawing something along those lines.

    I would use one as my CAMERA and the other connect to Find A Grave website to add photos of monuments & GPS coordinates at cemeteries in my local community.
    I would even do the same by using the camera and add photos on Google Maps.
    Lots of possibilities !

  38. I could use one screen for Netflix and the other for light work or social media. This is so cool; I didn’t realize I wanted 2 screens until now!

  40. I would have my navigation app on one screen as I am a sailor and use the other screen to phone or text or twitter.

  41. What a great idea! As we are travelling on a sailboat in the Caribbean, would have my Navionics navigation app open on one screen leaving one screen to phone and text.
