If you’re hoping to get a drone for Christmas this year, you couldn’t possibly do better than to add the Parrot Bebop 2 Quadcopter Drone with Camera to your Christmas wish list! If you’d like to know why, just keep reading below and I’ll tell you all about this awesome little machine, which is actually as much of a flying camera as it is an awesome drone. Check it out!
Among the many great features of the Parrot Bebop 2 are a maximum flight time of 25 minutes per single battery charge, a top flight speed of 65Km/h (with an impressive 2 Km range), and FPV (that’s First Person View) flying. This last one is truly amazing! Essentially your smart phone can be placed inside Parrot’s special cockpit glasses to give you a first-person point of view of everything that your drone’s camera sees, just as if you were a tiny pilot flying in the drone’s cockpit yourself. I’ve never experienced the Bebop 2 personally myself, but with features like FPV flight, I might just have to add this cool little drone to my own Christmas wish list!
Other cool features include an advanced navigation system that’s controlled by a built-in computer that runs a dual-core CPU & a quad-core GPU. What’s more, the Bebop 2 even has a free software development kit that allows you to program your own flight plans and perform various other computing & programming tasks. These tasks include, but are not limited to, building your own flight apps, live streaming video footage, and downloading the photos you’ve been taking during flight.
As if all of that wasn’t enough reason to add the Bebop 2 to your Christmas wish list, it’s also got a number of stable flight features that make it super easy to fly. There are 7 different data sensors, for instance, that together deliver input resulting both in excellent flight stability & great manoeuvrability. The Bebop 2 has a 3-axis gyroscope, a 3-axis accelerometer, and a 3-axis magnetometer. That’s a triple threat of triple-axis flight features! On top of all of that, there are pressure and ultrasound sensors, and a vertical camera that tracks the Bebop’s speed.
Adding to the Bebop 2’s ease of use nature is the FreeFlight 3 App—a piloting app that works with both Android and iOS devices and provides many useful features such as a virtual joystick & a single touch flip feature. Of course, you may choose to fly just using the included Skycontroller if you wish (it works with or without the app). And, by using the Skycontroller in conjunction with the Bebop’s amplified Wi-Fi MIMO antennas, you’ll get full use of the drone’s 2 Km range, should you wish to take advantage of it.
The Parrot Bebop 2 is truly an impressive little drone. I didn’t know very much about it at all before doing some research for this article, and now I wish I had one myself! If you’re considering asking for a drone this Christmas, the Bebop 2 is a fine model to select. Of course, I’ve by no means fully covered its features in this article. There’s simply far to much going on with this drone for me to include everything here, so you may wish to visit Best Buy’s product page to learn even more about the Bebop 2. However, if this doesn’t really sound like your kind of drone, you can always investigate numerous other options at Best Buy’s main Drone hub. Whatever you desire in the realm of drones, you’re almost certain to find it there. Good luck & Merry Christmas!
