Creatlity Ender-3 V2 3D printer prizeWhat would you create with a Creality Ender-3 V2 3D printer? Or perhaps it’s not you who would benefit by having one in your home; this might be great for the kids and family activities. Also, now that school is back in, a 3D printer might be just the thing for students to take their school projects to an A+ level of excellence. Ponder for a few minutes about the possibilities, read this article for some inspiration, then learn how you can enter for a chance to win an industry leading Creality 3D Printer.

Back to school season is a perfect time for learning 3D printing

Who is 3D printing for? Everyone is the best answer, but especially anyone who wants to learn and be creative. Many professions are using them to quickly create models related to their work. For example, architects may iterate designs for a new building by printing them. Engineers too, can see the results of scaled-down versions of their designs in minutes using a 3D printer. And there are many entrepreneurs selling their 3D creations online for practical home applications or for hobbyists.

Crafts and hobbies are one of my favourite applications of this relatively new technology. Imagine having an exact replica of Han Solo’s blaster or Worf’s Bat’leth. There are thousands of videos online showing how to get started.

How hard is it to use an Ender-3 V2 3D printer

Obviously printing 3D objects is not as simple as printing on paper. But there are some similarities. You’ll need a computer to send files to the printer in both cases. You’ll also need to have a complete project ready to go before it can be printed. Printing in 3D requires you to put in the printing medium (and there are a few types), and like regular printing, the print material is sold in cartridges. So you already understand the basics of creating a 3D printed object.

You can learn more about 3D printing and about the 3D printer we are giving away in this contest, by reading Brad Moon’s overview article here on the blog. And there are tons of useful videos online and free to download files to help with setting up your printer setup and creating masterpieces. You and your children will soon be printing for school, for work, and for fun.

  1. I’ve always dreamt of creating my own body armor suit with a 3d printer. As a second i could use it to fix a lot of things around the house with niche prints used for exactly what I need!

  2. I would love to make some decor, flower vases and frames for my small but unfurnished place – trying to go for a theme of gold + white items.

  3. I would like to make a computer keyboard wrist rest, in TPU material, because it is strong yet very flexible to the point of being elastic; and, I would like to color it red.

  4. I would keep it simple as my first 3D print: I’d print mask strap extenders, for my surgical masks that I wear at work hours on end. As a frontline healthcare worker, this is actually quite practical.

  5. I would really like to make my own fishing lure and would probably make it in a silver and black colour, but I would love to experiment with different shapes and colours!

  6. In the last year my family has fallen in love with board games. I’d make customized game player pieces for each family member in their favourite colours: orange and teal.

  7. I would love to print replacement boardgame pieces and miniatures. I think being able to print new or improved things are the way of the future.

  8. One item I would love to create using a 3D printer is a record, in black. By converting audio files, I would create my own records that would play on a turntable.

  9. I would like to try making 3D phone cases. I read that this is a common item they build on a 3D printer. Maybe even uniquely designed outfits that you can easily customize. This would be amazing.

  10. I would say the one thing I would live to print with a 3D printer is a pool bridge for over a ball shot. Seeing some of the ones on the market, I think i can definitely come up with something a lot better!

  11. One item I would love to create using a 3D printer would be a window lock for one of my windows. The original is made of plastic and with age, it broke so no longer works. I’d have to replace the whole window unless I can find a solution.
The 3D printer may work! It wouldn’t matter what colour it was!!!!

  12. I would love to make a unique fall flower pot in a warm orange that I could turn into a Thanksgiving centerpiece as a gift for my neighbours.
