The Fujifilm Instax Link 3 is an instant photo printer designed to be used with the Fujifilm Instax Mini Link app. It connects to your smartphone wirelessly via Bluetooth and comes in three colourways: Sage Green, Clay White, and Rose Pink. This printer works with Instax Mini film (62mm × 46mm).

The Fujifilm Link 3 is compact and lightweight. Its three LED indicator lights keep you apprised of your device’s printing and battery status. On its side, the device’s power/function button gives you physical control of the Link’s digital world. Like other Link printers, the Link 3 charges via USB-C (charging cable included) and prints through a printing slot on the top of the device.

The Link 3 prints all photos using analog film development technology. You can customize them to print in either Instax Rich Mode or Natural Mode, depending on whether you’d like to create vintage or true-to-digital colours.

The remainder of the Link 3’s features are found in the Instax Mini Link app (free; no subscription). In the app, photographers can add frames, stickers, and filters to their photos. The app also easily creates photo collages and prints stills from videos.

Fujifilm wants people to explore their creativity with the Instax Link line: This is where photographers can really play with their images. While Fujifilm Instax instant cameras are all about capturing a special, fleeting moment, the Link line lets you print the same photo over and over again. You can print a hundred identical copies of the same image. Or, you can create a hundred fun, unique variations of it.

In-app features that are maintained in the Link 3 include Instax AiR Studio, the Link’s ability to work as a camera remote for the Link app, and Match Test.

Capture photos with 3D AR effects

Instax AiR Studio allows photographers to capture images in augmented reality (AR) using their smartphones. Fujifilm updated it for the Link 3, adding more options than ever. In AiR Studio, photographers can add backgrounds, 3D cartoon objects, garlands, balloons, animations, and more. Unlike editing a photo in post production, AiR Studio creates the digital reality before you capture. You can interact with the space before taking your photo, and you and your friends can use the same Studio to take multiple snaps in the same decorated, digital room.

The Link 3 also keeps the Click to Collage feature. It captures six images at three second intervals, creating collages of two, four, or six of those images. These images can be printed as sequential photos or a single collage. It also creates an animation of the images for social media sharing.

The Fujifilm Instax Link 3 smartphone printer is a great way to capture moments, play with photography, and connect with friends. Fujifilm will release it on August 28th, but you can already pre-order it at Best Buy online.
