I actually don’t have a laptop so an external camera is my first choice. It has been crucial for me during the transition towards online meetings since the pandemic and I find the video quality much higher than the internal ones that come traditionally with the laptops.

I get to pick the area, the background, how I want the lighting to be etc. It would also make my online experience better because of the camera. A tip that helps me prepare for a Video meeting is to keep things simple. Have it set up somewhere where it’s going to be quiet, it could be in a Room or your Basement, keep it simple by having a blank background. The color should be simple and the lighting should be kept simple.
The fact that you can have it at a 90 degrees angle makes it better. You can have many different views of the Camera.

A tip that helps me prepare for a Video meeting is to keep things simple. Have it set up somewhere with a plain background. In your Office, the bedroom or in your Basement. Have it set up somewhere where it’s easy to adjust it if needed. Near a Window usually helps and keep your Clothing simple with the colors it looks better on the Camera.
