There are a number of ads on TV right now that tout the mighty cleaning power of various dishwasher detergents, and show how by using them you can avoid the crippling embarrassment that comes with serving your dinner guests wine in spotted glasses. Sarcasm aside, these ads do beg the question – why isn’t your dishwasher doing its job as it should? Perhaps the pipes just need to be cleaned, but if not, and your dishwasher is looking a little worse for wear and you’re in the market for a replacement, look no further than GE.

This past week our country turned 147 years old, and although it’s a relative youngster in terms of countries, (after all, our neighbor to the south is ripe, old 238 today) I think it’s established itself very well. When you think of Canada you think of polite people, wide, open spaces, 4 very definite seasons of weather, and last but not least, hockey.   But let’s not forget that we’re also a culture based on a wide variety of delicious dishes too, and because of those definite weather cycles, there are some uniquely Canadian recipes that are only really available to be made in the summer.

However, even the most fabulous, most space-aged, most comfortable chair in the world means nothing if you’re sitting in front of a desk that is made from a sheet of plywood and two milk crates. So, with that in mind, I thought I’d write a follow up post that highlights some great desk options available at Best Buy.  But first, let’s quickly define what makes a “great desk” and why having one in your work or home office can actually increase productivity. 

Spring has officially sprung, and with the warmer days and longer nights there also comes a sense of foreboding. It’s inevitable, but the appearance of spring means another season is right around the corner – bathing suit season. While I am generally a healthy person and stay active year-round, I tend to overindulge throughout the winter, which means that without fail, I have a few pounds to shed and some toning to do before I’m ready to bust out the bikini. Thankfully, I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve that get me feeling better and looking better in record time.  

After a long, grey winter, I’d say it’s high time we started seeing some color again. You can liven up your house by adding a bunch of tulips or daffodils, change up your throw pillows, or swap out your duvet for something more ‘spring-ish,’ but the single best way to breath life back into a house that’s been asleep for the winter is to update your kitchen colors.
