Virtual reality gaming promises to be an immersive and exciting way to enjoy gaming. And with the PlayStation VR2 coupled with a PS5 console, you can expect a gaming experience unlike anything you can imagine. We asked writer and game review Matthew Rondina to review the PS VR2 and he loved how immersive and responsive the controllers were. And since this is a very new way to enjoy gaming, we also asked him to do a second article explaining some tips and tricks for setting up this device to get the most from your gaming. Learn more and enter for a chance to experience VR gaming at its best: we are giving away one PS VR2 bundle in this contest.

Play a variety of games with PS VR2

With PS VR2, you can explore a wide range of games that cater to different tastes and preferences. It’s designed to work seamlessly with the PS5, offering stunning graphics, 3D audio, and adaptive triggers. Plus, it comes with a new VR controller that has haptic feedback and finger touch detection, giving you more realistic and intuitive interactions. However, not every PS5 game will be compatible with a PS VR2. VR-compatible games are developed to take advantage of the headset’s capabilities, providing an immersive 3D experience that traditional console games do not offer. Whether you want to shoot zombies, race cars, solve puzzles, or swing like Spider-Man, there is a game for you. Some of the titles that will be compatible with PS VR2 are Resident Evil 4 VR, Gran Turismo 7, Horizon: Call of the Mountain, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. You can also enjoy some of the existing PSVR games that will be enhanced for PSVR2, such as Astro Bot Rescue Mission, Blood & Truth, and Moss.

Take VR for a test run

If you’re like me, you have a ton of questions about VR in general, and PS VR2 in particular. Where do you begin to get answers? Well if you live close to a Best Buy store, start there! This month, until Sept 24th 2023, at many participating Best Buy stores, you can register for a hands-on, 20 minute demo (Please note: time slots are filling up very quickly so register early). You can get your questions answered right there. Another way to get some of your questions answered is to ask our reviewer … in fact you can do that in the comment section below any review article on the blog to get questions answered from an expert who has used the tech! And if you enter this contest, you’ll be able to use the PS VR2 and discover the answers for yourself.

How to enter

Entering this contest is easy, and you can enter in four different ways (one entry per method only).

  1. In a comment below, tell us what game you are most excited to play with a PlayStation VR, the game you think is this year’s best, explain why you think it’s the best, and let us know if you have played it yet.
  2. In a comment beneath ourTips and Tricks” article, tell us one thing discussed in that article that you found was the most helpful for someone setting up a PS VR2 for the first time.
  3. In a comment beneath the PS VR2 in store demo article, tell us what question you would ask first if you were able to attend one of these demo sessions. Note, you do not have to register for the event. Leaving one question about the PS VR2 in the comment section for that article will qualify as one contest entry.
  4. Social post: For one additional entry, create a public post on a social media channel sharing with your friends and followers that you are entering a Best Buy blog contest to win a PS VR2 and include the hashtag #BestBuyPSVR2contest, so we can find your post. Include a picture from this contest page. Then return here and tell us in a comment below on which channel you posted it and the name of your channel (since many people use pseudonyms) so that we can check and verify your entry. You can use any social media channel (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Thread, LinkedIn, etc.), but the post must be public so we can verify it is there.

What you can win

At the end of the contest, we will randomly select one winner from all eligible entries to receive a new PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain VR Bundle.

The contest runs from Sept 12th to Sept 24th.

Remember you can enter four times maximum, in four different ways—once per method (leaving four comments below this article will not count as four entries and may get you disqualified). However, tell everyone in your family, tell your friends, tell your neighbours and their neighbours too, about this contest and someone you know may win. And since you told them about the contest, I think that gives you weekly VR gaming access—don’t you?

  1. Gran Turismo! I played it at a friend’s place once and it was awesome to look around and see drivers/cars beside you as you pass them.

  2. Ghost of Tsushima, I already played it, but I can just imagine what it would look like if I could play it on PS VR! Baldur’s Gate 3! Even though I have yet to play it, its impressive graphics and gameplay, the fact that it is a D&D game and that you can play it both online and on the same console is really promising.

  3. Gran Turismo 7 to play with PlayStation VR. The year’s best because of the movie, love the previous games, and the game feels so real. Not played it yet.
