If you’re looking for a premium gaming headset that can move between consoles, PC, mobile, music, movies, and chat, the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II is built to be an “all-in-one” solution. It builds on the strong foundation of the original Stealth Pros and improves in all the areas that matter most, from sound and battery life to comfort, wireless switching, and even microphone performance.
The big upgrades are easy to see and hear almost immediately. The Stealth Pro II moves to larger 60mm Eclipse dual drivers, supports certified Hi-Res Wireless Audio on compatible sources, adds Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio on Xbox and PC, and includes adjustable Active Noise Cancellation. It also uses Turtle Beach’s “CrossPlay 2.0” system, which makes it easier to switch between multiple platforms. This is Turtle Beach’s most impressive headset yet; let’s explore all it has to offer in my full review.
Unboxing the Stealth Pro II
Opening the box, the Stealth Pro II feels like a premium piece of hardware right away. The headset arrives in a storage case, which keeps the headset, detachable microphone, batteries, dock, USB transmitter, and USB cable organized and protected. I absolutely love this touch. With my past headsets, I found many of the smaller components would get mixed up or lost. Now everything is in one handy spot, which also makes packing for travel easier.
At first glance, the Stealth Pro II headset is an absolute stunner, I love the new look. The headset has a clean, modern design that is more mature and understated than many other gaming headsets. It avoids the oversized look and uses anodized aluminum, chrome accents, soft-touch surfaces, and diamond-edged controls to create a polished style.

What’s in the Stealth Pro II box
The package includes the Stealth Pro II wireless headset, detachable 9mm floating boom microphone, CrossPlay 2.0 USB wireless transmitter, transmitter dock, two rechargeable 40-hour battery packs, USB cable, quick start guide, and storage case.
The original Stealth Pro already had one of my favourite headset features: swappable batteries. The Stealth Pro II keeps that idea and makes it much better. Each battery is rated for up to 40 hours, so you can use one while the other charges in the dock. Together, that gives you a whopping 80 hours of total playtime. Even if you forget to charge, the hardware features “fast charging, ” which is also helpful, offering a short 15-minute charge that provides 3 hours of use.

Premium comfort and build quality
Comfort is a big test for me with any high-end gaming headset, especially when weight and heat can become issues. Thankfully, the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II mostly gets it right with athletic-weave fabric, memory-foam ear cushions, and “ProSpecs” glasses relief.
I switch between contact lenses and glasses, and there was very little difference in comfort either way. The ProSpecs designed cushions helped reduce pressure around my glasses, which made longer sessions much easier.
At 393g with the boom mic attached, it has some heft, but I found that weight added to its premium feel more than it detracted from comfort. The aluminum-reinforced lay-flat design and soft-touch materials also make it feel built for long-term use.
CrossPlay 2.0 makes switching easier
CrossPlay 2.0 is one of the biggest day-to-day upgrades over the original Stealth Pro. The system supports up to four USB wireless transmitters, making it easier to switch between platforms without constantly unplugging accessories.
For anyone who plays on Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and handheld devices, this matters. The Stealth Pro II feels less like a headset tied to one machine and more like a central audio hub for your entire gaming setup.

Xbox vs. PC versions of the Stealth Pro II
There are two versions of the Stealth Pro II to be aware of: an Xbox model and a PC model. If Xbox is part of your setup, the Xbox version is the one to get, since it supports Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, along with PlayStation, PC, and Bluetooth devices. If you mainly play on PC and PlayStation, the PC model offers more PC-focused features, including Hi-Res Bluetooth audio, PC Game/Chat Mix, and a higher-bandwidth microphone mode.
Simultaneous wireless and Bluetooth
The Stealth Pro II supports 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth 5.3 at the same time which is a great feature for multitaskers. You can hear game audio from your console or PC while staying connected to your phone for Discord, calls, music, or podcasts.
The independent volume controls on the headset’s earcups also make the feature more practical. Simultaneous audio only works well when you can balance each source, and Turtle Beach gives you that control.

60mm Eclipse dual drivers and Hi-Res audio
The biggest audio upgrade is the move from the original Stealth Pro’s 50mm Nanoclear drivers to the Stealth Pro II’s 60mm Eclipse dual drivers. Each earcup uses a dedicated woofer and tweeter, which helps separate bass, mids, and highs more clearly.
The result is a fuller and more controlled sound. Bass has a bigger impact, but it does not swallow the rest of the mix. Dialogue also stays clean, music has room to breathe, and small in-game details are easier to pick out. It has the punch of a gaming headset without sounding muddy.
This is also where certified Hi-Res Wireless Audio comes in. On compatible devices and sources, the Stealth Pro II supports 24-bit/96kHz wireless audio via its low-latency 2.4 GHz USB connection. That makes the headset a stronger option for PC players who want cleaner, more detailed sound for games, movies, and music.
Dolby Atmos and Active Noise Cancellation
Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio is available on Xbox and PC, helping to make the headset’s sound profile feel more dimensional. In supported games, audio can feel like it is coming from around, above, and behind you.
This is useful in competitive games where footsteps and directional cues matter, but it also makes single-player games feel bigger. Open worlds, racing games like Forza Horizon 6, competitive shooters like Call of Duty, and cinematic adventures all benefit from stronger positioning.
The adjustable Active Noise Cancellation helps block out background sound, making it easier to focus on your game. Transparency mode is useful when you want to hear more of the room around you.
One small note: deeper ANC control is handled through the Swarm II app. The headset button switches between ANC and transparency, but app control offers more flexibility.

Microphone and chat performance
The Stealth Pro II includes a completely redesigned detachable unidirectional 9mm floating boom microphone with AI-based noise reduction. It does an excellent job honing in on your voice while reducing background noise. For me, the mic is a clear upgrade for party chat, Discord, online multiplayer, and calls. Voices come through very cleanly, and the detachable design makes the headset more flexible for casual use like listening to music on your commute.

Final thoughts on the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II
The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II is easily my favourite gaming headset I’ve used in a long time. It feels premium, sounds fantastic, works across all my main devices, and solves one of my biggest headset frustrations with its excellent swappable battery system. It is still a premium headset, both in price and build, but the overall experience feels worth it. With its comfort, sound quality, clear chat, strong noise cancellation, and flexible connectivity, the Stealth Pro II is very easy to recommend for players who want a single high-end headset that can do almost everything.
