The Brother Eye Mark III Elite is a fun option for anyone looking to bring a larger-than-life viewing experience into smaller, everyday spaces. It’s a great portable, easy-to-use projector that gives you a big screen without a complicated setup.
After spending time with the Brother Eye Mark III Elite, I found it has many positives, including its compact size, portability, and adjustable arm-style stand that doubles as a handle. It’s easy to move, simple to angle, and quick to get into position. The built-in Google TV OS experience is also a major win, reducing the need to connect extra streaming devices. It’s plug-and-play and lets you start watching right away.
In this review, I’ll break down what works well, what could be better, and which spaces and users the Mark III works best for.

In this review, let’s check out what Brother Eye Mark III Elite brings to the table.
Setting up the Brother Eye Mark III Elite

The Brother Eye Mark III Elite is built with convenience in mind. Its compact design makes it easy to place on a table, shelf, nightstand, or even in an outdoor setup, while the adjustable arm gives you plenty of control over the projection angle. That flexibility matters more than you might expect. With some projectors, simply getting the image lined up can feel like half the battle. Here, the autofocus and auto-keystone correction help make the process much quicker and less frustrating.
That said, there are a couple of small setup drawbacks. The included power cord is very short, having a cable a few feet longer would make placement and positioning even easier.

I also really like the remote’s design. It feels sleek, simple, and easy to navigate, with the key buttons clearly laid out. Just keep in mind that the remote is essential for the initial setup, but the package does not include the two AAA batteries needed to use it, so you’ll want to have some ready before getting started.
All-in-one entertainment hub with GTV OS
The Brother Eye Mark III Elite is an all-in-one entertainment device. Instead of needing to plug in a streaming stick, console, or laptop right away for a content source, I could simply connect to Wi-Fi and use the on-board Google TV interface. I downloaded my favourite apps, like Netflix, Disney Plus, and Sportsnet, and everything was in one spot. For casual movie nights, sports, YouTube, and streaming apps, that simplicity is a huge draw for me and my family.

Brother Eye Mark III Elite specs
It’s packed with features that make it feel like a complete entertainment hub in a compact package. For a compact projector, it packs a punch with 1,500 lumens of brightness, 4K/8K-ready support, a display size of up to 140 inches, autofocus, auto-keystone correction, wireless screen mirroring, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and built-in Google TV. That combination makes it easy to set up, stream, and enjoy a big-screen experience without needing a separate streaming stick or extra device.
Picture quality and brightness
The Brother Eye Mark III Elite looks its best in a dark room. Colours are bright, image clarity is strong, and the large projection size gives movies and sports that big-screen feel that makes projectors so much fun. Animated content, brighter movies, and sports broadcasts especially benefit from the larger image.

Like most projectors, lighting conditions matter. In a really bright room, the image loses a lot of vibrance. I tried to address this by customizing my brightness, but it washed out the image too much. Colours look flatter, blacks become more grey, and the overall punch drops. This is not a deal-breaker as most projectors perform best in blackout spaces. But it is important to set expectations.
For best results, I would use it in a dim to dark room, or in a space where you can control ambient light.
A great casual gaming option
It’s also great for casual gaming, party games, and big-screen sessions where size and fun matter most. However, the projector doesn’t feature ultra-low input lag or high-refresh gaming modes, so if you are a competitive player, you may still want a dedicated gaming display or a gaming-focused projector.

Google TV and streaming
The built-in Google TV support is one of my favourite parts of the Brother Eye Mark III Elite. Having the streaming interface built directly into the projector makes it feel much more approachable. You can access popular apps, browse recommendations, and use free streaming channels.
The iOS-friendly Google TV and Google Home experience is also great. It makes the projector feel modern and easy to live with, especially if you want a clean setup for family movie nights or quick weekend viewing. This is the kind of feature that makes a projector more likely to be used regularly.
Onboard audio and fan noise
The built-in speaker is quite good for casual viewing. But, for a more cinematic experience, I would connect a Bluetooth speaker or sound system. That recommendation is not unusual for portable projectors. The image can feel big and exciting, but stronger external audio helps complete the experience. It also lets you keep the projector volume at a more comfortable level while making dialogue, music, and sports commentary easier to hear.
The biggest downside I noticed is fan noise. The fan is a little loud, and I found the projector audio had to be turned up quite high to drown it out.
Final thoughts on the Brother Eye Mark III Elite
The Brother Eye Mark III Elite smart LCD projector is easy to recommend if you want a versatile compact projector that can quickly turn any space at home into a big-screen setup. It works best in darker environments, where its large image, simple Google TV interface, and flexible design really shine.
While the fan noise and short power cord are worth noting, the overall experience is fun, approachable, and convenient. For casual movie nights, sports, streaming, and relaxed gaming, the Brother Eye Mark III Elite delivers a lot of entertainment value without making your setup feel complicated.
