Premium TVs begin with outstanding new technology

I get this question quite frequently on the blog and on social media, “I want to buy a new TV; can you tell me which TV should I get?” My answer is to figure out your budget and space considerations for the room where it will be placed, then get the most future friendly TV with the largest screen that will fit in your home that you can afford. Future friendly means best technology available. And this year is a banner year for new technology in televisions.

I am planning on getting a new set for my home one day. I have a budget in mind and a TV size in mind (65 inch). I haven’t decided which brand to purchase yet because they are all so tempting! Each of the top manufactures has released new televisions with outstanding new technologies that make the colours more vibrant, details clearer, and the overall entertainment experience much better.

Do your research and plan for your next TV

Buying a television does require doing a bit of research. This contest will help you do that so you will know which future friendly Premium TV will be right for your home. There are three television prizes, one from each of the major TV manufacturers, Samsung, Sony, and LG, as shown here.

    I’m a lifelong Sony fan and the new X1 Extreme processor, full array LED panel and the smart home features really get me excited for this new 2020 model. Hoping to upgrade from my 2015 W600B.

    My current fantasy Sony TV would obviously be the A9G, but realistically the X900H will probably be my next! Unless I win this of course ahaha.

  31. I’ve never had a more challenging decision to make when it comes to TV technology as I have to replace my 2012 LCD at long last. After hours of research online and watching millions of videos, I think the Samsung QLED range is the way forward. The One Connect box is the biggest draw and QLED means I don’t have to worry about screen burn in over time. I’d pick the Samsung Q90 range (QN65Q90TAFXZC) in any color.

  38. I am intrigued by LG’s NanoCell technology, which ensures that the resolution of the screen actually reflects the pixel density. I think this would bring out very deep, precise blacks, especially in contrast with other brighter colors, and it’s nicely complimented by its very thin frame. I would choose the LG NanoCell 86″ 4K UHD HDR LED webOS Smart TV Smart TV (86NANO90UNA) at Best Buy for sheer size and cinematic experience.

  39. I am loving the new sound technology by Sony, Acoustic Surface Audio as I often have problems hearing, plus it’s great to have convincing sound, including the awesome built in subwoofers. I like the Sony BRAVIA 65″ 4K UHD HDR OLED Android Smart TV (XBR65A8H) at Best Buy.

    • Samsung TV’s new 2020 version of the Quantum Processor 8K sounds incredible. I would enjoy the very crisp image and have fun exploring the AI options, plus the Active Sound Optimizer. I would select the Samsung 85″ 8K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV (QN85Q900TSFXZC) in Stainless Steel from Best Buy for a sharp look.
