Could I use this I have a tv in my room on a dresser, takes up all the room on the dresser plus I walk into it all the time as it juts out into the walkway going to the bathroom. Hanging it would allow to watch from any area in the apt and stop walking into it.

The most compelling reason for mounting our TV is to get it away from little fingers, their safety is of utmost importance.
Mounting a TV on the wall is good for safety reasons.
