Summer Game Fest has become one of the big June checkpoints for gaming. What started in 2020 as a new way to bring reveals and updates to fans online is now a full weekend of announcements, first looks, and showcase events. Summer Game Fest 2026 kept that momentum going with a packed mix of games, including Star Wars Zero Company, Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Resident Evil Veronica, GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT, and The Blood of Dawnwalker.
There’s a lot here for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, XBOX Series X|S, and PC owners to keep track of. Some games now have firm release dates, others are already available to pre-order, and several more have a clearer place on the 2026 and 2027 gaming calendar.
Here are the games that stood out from this year’s showcase.
Star Wars Zero Company

Star Wars Zero Company is a turn-based tactical game from Bit Reactor set during the Clone Wars. It follows Hawks and a squad operating across the Star Wars galaxy, with tactical missions, squad customization, and character bonds that affect combat synergies.
The gameplay focus makes this different from many recent Star Wars games. Instead of lightsaber action or space combat, it centres on squad choices, positioning, and how each mission changes your team. Anakin Skywalker also appears, tying the game more closely to the Clone Wars era.
The Blood of Dawnwalker
Platform: PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC
Release date: September 3, 2026

The Blood of Dawnwalker is a dark fantasy open-world action RPG from Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco Entertainment. It follows Coen, a Dawnwalker caught between humanity and vampirism, as he faces Brencis and tries to protect his family in 14th-century Vale Sangora.
The first game is planned as a complete story within The Dawnwalker Saga. Choices affect story and gameplay, but the first game is meant to reach its own conclusion. When you pre-order at Best Buy Canada, you get a $15 gift card, and the Day 1 Edition includes the Sangoran Wayfarer’s Armor Set, SteelBook case, and World Map.
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush
Platform: PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, XBOX Series X|S, and PC
Release date: September 24, 2026

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is a high-speed arcade racing game from Milestone and Mattel. It features four themed islands, free-roaming driving, racing, collectibles, obstacles, sky jumps, and more than 150 vehicles.
The game includes online racing, local split-screen, vehicle customization, sticker and livery editors, and a track builder. Nintendo Switch 2 joins PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC in the platform lineup. The mix of Hot Wheels vehicles, split-screen racing, and track-building tools gives it an easy family appeal while still leaving room for racing fans to dig into vehicle customization and created tracks.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer
Platform: PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC
Release date: October 6, 2026

Star Wars: Galactic Racer is a racing adventure from Secret Mode and Fuse Games, made in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. It brings pod racing back with a runs-based story campaign, online multiplayer events, and an Arcade mode.
The campaign introduces the Galactic League, Kestar Bool, Shade, Darius Pax, and Hibi. It also includes a new arena called Derven Acos. Parts, stat boosts, abilities, and carry-over progression are part of the campaign structure. That adds more to follow than a simple list of races.
Stranger Than Heaven
Platform: PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC
Release date: January 15, 2027

Stranger Than Heaven is an action-adventure game from RGG Studio and SEGA. The story begins in 1915 San Francisco with Makoto Daito, who leaves for Japan after losing his parents and searching for a place to belong.
The game follows Makoto across a 50-year story, with crime drama, music, and show business all playing a role in his life. Its cast includes Tupac as Amaru, along with Snoop Dogg, Cordell Broadus, Takashi Ukaji, Yasukaze Motomiya, Takaya Kuroda, and Kohei Tsuji. Snoop Dogg also contributes to the official theme song alongside Satoshi Fujihara, Ado, and Tori Kelly.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation
Platform: PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, XBOX Series X|S, and PC
Release date: Spring 2027

Final Fantasy VII Revelation is the third and final game in the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy. It continues Cloud Strife’s story with Sephiroth, Vincent Valentine, Cid Highwind, Yuffie, the Highwind airship, Meteor, and Weapons. It also adds new areas, including Wutai, the Northern Continent, and the Mideel archipelago.
Combat continues the remake series’ mix of real-time action and Tactical Mode, while adding new playable characters and abilities. Vincent’s combat focuses on gunplay and transformations, while Cid uses lance attacks and area-based moves. The new FITS system also adds job-style outfits that change character movesets. The spring 2027 release window also lines up with the 30th anniversary year of the original Final Fantasy VII. Revelation is planned for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, XBOX Series X|S, and PC.
Clutch
Platform: PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC
Release date: Spring 2027

Clutch is an open-world action-driving game from Maverick Games. It takes place on the French Riviera and mixes professional racing, underground street racing, clues, getaways, and vehicle personalization.
The game follows the Martial family after a racing accident changes everything. That accident pulls them into a larger story involving new technology and the Midnight Collective. For racing fans, Clutch is aiming beyond a traditional track-based racer. It has a connected open world and a spring 2027 release window.
Resident Evil Veronica
Platform: PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, XBOX Series X|S, and PC
Release date: TBA 2027

Resident Evil Veronica is Capcom’s remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica. Claire Redfield returns, Rockfort Island is back, and the remake is being developed in the RE ENGINE with updated gameplay for modern hardware.
The game is planned for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, XBOX Series X|S, and PC in 2027. For anyone following Capcom’s Resident Evil remakes, this is the next major one to keep your eye on.
More games announced at Summer Game Fest 2026
Several other games from Summer Game Fest 2026 stood out for their studio connections, platform plans, or early reveal status.
- GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT introduces a new Gundam timeline from Bandai Namco Studios, with pilot RE-X, the Gundam Helix, and high-mobility battles against enemy forces and large bosses. It is planned for 2027 on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC.
- The Wolf Among Us 2 brings Bigby Wolf back for a new dark fairy tale mystery in 2027. The Wolf Among Us Remastered is also planned for holiday 2026, giving fans a way to revisit the original before the sequel.
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin is an action-adventure game based on the comic series and follows the last surviving Ninja Turtle. It is planned for PC and consoles, but exact console platforms have not been confirmed yet.
- Alien: Isolation 2 brings Creative Assembly back to the survival horror series with a new protagonist, a new story, a new setting, and another Xenomorph threat.
- 1666: Amsterdam comes from Panache Digital Games and creative director Patrice Désilets. It is a dark third-person action-adventure game planned for PC Early Access first, with console versions planned later.
- Stellar Blade: BLOOD RAIN is a new game from SHIFT UP set in the same universe as Stellar Blade. It continues the story beyond the first game and introduces a new protagonist named Evie.
- gen ATLAS comes from genDESIGN, Epic Games Publishing, and Fumito Ueda, the creative lead known for Shadow of the Colossus, ICO, and The Last Guardian. It is a single-player open-world action-adventure game planned for PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC.
- Crossfire is a stealth-action game from That’s No Moon that uses Unreal Engine 5 and an Adaptive Cover system tied to enemy sightlines and positioning.
Updates and expansions rounded out the show
Summer Game Fest 2026 also included several updates for existing games and franchises.
- Mafia: The Old Country gets the Man of Honor expansion on August 14, 2026, adding two new story chapters, new Free Ride content, and more of Enzo Favara’s story in Sicily.
- Street Fighter 6 Year 4 adds Yasmine, Arjun, Tifa, and Bosch. Yasmine is planned for summer 2026, Arjun for autumn 2026, Tifa for early 2027, and Bosch for spring 2027.
- Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance is a 2027 expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC. It adds a high-altitude locale, new and returning monsters, Master Rank content, new abilities, and Elder Dragons.
- SAW: GENESIS is a 3v1 multiplayer horror game from Bloober Team, Lionsgate, Broken Mirror Games, and Anshar Studios. It is set before the films and has three Accused working together while one Judge controls the trials. Early Access is planned for later in 2026.
Summer Game Fest 2026 sets up a big couple of years for gaming
The showcase left us with plenty of video games to look forward to across a wide range of genres, including RPGs, racing games, horror, and big multi-platform releases. Between Star Wars Zero Company, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, and Resident Evil Veronica, there’s a lot to be excited about in 2026 and 2027.
