A Kobo ereader will likely have you reading a lot more. In fact, the newest ereader in their lineup, the Kobo Nia, with its slim, no frills approach, is all about what you are reading rather than what you are using to read. It’s light enough for anyone to hold for prolonged periods and small enough to fit into a pocket or a handbag. And it’s going to be a great prize for two people who read through my short article and enter this contest.

You won’t want to put down the Kobo Nia ereader

I love reading as much as I love writing. I have done plenty of both in my life. Of course, my job as Editor in Chief of the Best Buy Blog requires me to write a lot of articles—and read even more articles. However, I still make time for writing and reading as a pasttime; not as much as I would like to or as I did in the past, unfortunately. You see, I once had a Kobo; that was when I was writing and reading a lot. One of the first things I did after I finished writing my first novel was to upload it to my Kobo. I was so used to reading on the Kobo that I found it much easier to read and edit my own books on the Kobo too. I found it really helped my creative process.

The fact is, when you have a Kobo, you will likely get more interested in books. Partly, it’s the convenience; partly it’s the ease of picking it up and having thousands of books right there in your hands. I don’t read as much as I used to—as I said, my Kobo was stolen. It’s about time I go out and buy another one!

What will you read first on the Kobo Nia ereader

Do you have more than one book on the go at any one time? I always have more than one that I’m reading. The Kobo Nia is perfect for people like you and me since all your books can be in one place. The first book I’d put on an ereader is Kazuo Ishiguro’s “The Buried Giant.” I rarely get into fantasy type stories but I’m about 100 pages in and this one has me hooked. I would likely add a few of Ishiguro’s books now that I know I love his writing style.

Of course, you could add books to any Kobo: they have models that are waterproof, models with bigger screens … so choose the one that works for you. Ted recently reviewed the Kobo Nia and he pointed out many of the features found in the range of Kobo devices, but emphasized that the Nia is perfect for what you need it for: reading. Read his review, decide on an ereader, then load it up with books or get a subscription from Kobo and open your world to books, books, and more books.

  1. The Kobo Nia would be my first choice as my wife has been asking for one for a while now, and her favorite author is Gina Showalter.

  2. My favourite Kobo is the Forma (bigger size). The first book I would download is Margaret Atwood’s “the Testaments”

  3. Kobo Nia is my favourite so I really hope that I win this contest so that I can add George R.R. Martin’s “A Clash of Kings” to it.

  4. My favourite is the Kobo Nia. I’ve been looking at it online for sooo long! I currently read books on my phone and it’s so hard on the eyes. The first book I would add is Becoming by Michelle Obama, I’ve been wanting to read it forever! Thank you for the chance <3

  5. I would have to choose Kobo Libra H2O because I tend to read a lot in a nice bubble bath, and I would love to read the new book Think Like a Monk:)

  6. Sounds like the Kobo Nia is the one to get as it is exactly what I am looking for – small and portable, simple to use! The first book I would read is Still Alice…one of my favourites!

  7. My kobo no longer downloads books from the Library so would say the Kobo Nia would be my favourite. I would download Thick as Thieves by Sandra Brown

  8. I like the look and the font on the Kobo Libra H2O 7″ Digital eReader with Touchscreen. I think I would first read Ken Follett’s The Evening and the Morning for an entertaining thriller.

  9. I would prefer the smaller Kobo Nia but the lack of a bluelight filter is a deal breakder for me. So I will have to go with the LIbra H2O as my top choice. The first book I would read is The Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy.

  10. I would really like the Kobo Libra H2O 7″ Digital eReader with Touchscreen (N873-KU-BK-K-EP) – Black. I would add the Lord of the Rings trilogy first.

  11. I like the Kobo Libra H20 and the first book I would read on it would be Stephen King’s newest, The Institute.

  12. Kobo Libra H2O as it is waterproof and seems larger
My first ebook would be Frank Herbert’s Dune Saga Collection

  13. I have a Kobo Aura H20 which I love. My Sony ereader lasted for years but didn’t survive it’s final dunking in the bathtub. This one I haven’t dropped yet, but I know I’m covered :0 I’ll put Stephen King’s The Stand on it if I win. Too heavy to read as a “real” book in the bath, but perfect on an ereader.

  14. I have an old Kobo that is no longer supported. The Nia looks great and I’d put the new Dresden book that is released on the 16th on it.

  15. Kobo Nia
Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man
    by Mary L. Trump Ph.D.

  16. The Koba Forma and I would start with rereading the entire Lord of the Ring series including the Hobbit.

  17. I would love to get the Kobo Clara with it’s 300 ppi display.
The first book I would get is The Fifth Risk: Undoing Democracy by Michael Lewis. He is the same guy who wrote “The Big Short”

  18. Looks awesome, after reading up on it the Kobo Nia is definitely my favorite E reader! Hopefully I win this one, but if I don’t I might just have to go down to Best Buy and buy one 🙂

the first book on my To Read list is the Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead . Looking forward to adding it and reading on my new reader haha

    Thank you, good luck!
