Review: Embrace the unusual with Kirby and the Rainbow Curse

0
Once in a while, Nintendo does some weird and experimental things with the Kirby Franchise.  Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is a kickback of sorts to 2005’s Canvas Curse for the Nintendo DS.  With no controlling mechanics outside of momentum, drawing lines and a few taps, you’re definitely in for a challenge with this game.  Let’s take a look!

Review: Putty Squad [Playstation 4]

0

The game Putty Squad has a pretty screwy life cycle.  Originally released in 1994 for the Super Nintendo in PAL (outside North America) regions, it had review copies released for the Amiga, but Ocean Entertainment started to move away from publishing, and never released it.  Almost two decades passed, and Putty Squad was almost released for Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita and then FINALLY debuted for Amiga last year.  Putty Squad is now available in North America for Playstation 4, having been a rest of the world launch title.  Then, it will be released on Playstation 3 and Vita at the end of this month.  Was that confusing enough?  Hopefully the review isn’t.  Click on to read about Putty Squad.

Review: Ratchet & Clank is must-play for new and returning fans

0
After a three-year break, Sony and Insomniac Games' flagship platformer-shooter franchise Ratchet & Clank has made its triumphant return on PlayStation 4. This re-imagining of the first game in the series is bigger and better in every way—new worlds, new weapons, new bosses, and gorgeous new graphics are just the beginning. PlayStation fans, you won't want to miss this one!

Open-world is one of the most fun and innovative genres to watch evolve across all of gaming. Every year the maps get larger, the people and environments becomes more interactive and realistic, and the amount of freedom you can experience from roaming around a virtual world grows and grows. Here are a handful of recent and up-and-coming titles perfect for losing yourself in a vast, sprawling digital creation:
