NAMM 2014: Gibson Les Paul Guitars

0

Gibson showed us some truly beautiful guitars in the Melody Maker and SG lines. They are celebrating their 120th anniversary this year and have added some really tasteful extras to their lines to celebrate.   What I really found exciting was the Min-ETune feature hardware that Gibson demonstrated to us. Will this be the end of manual tuning?

Who doesn’t love lounging on the beach, reclining by the pool or sitting on the deck reading a book in the summer sun? E-books make the experience even better, but only if you do it the right way. Don’t risk expensive damage or torture your eyes with a smartphone or tablet, use a dedicated e-reader instead and make the most of the reading opportunity.

Business laptops: designed for getting work done

0

What makes a business laptop? What a business (or a professional user) needs in a laptop is going to vary depending on who you ask and the nature of the industry they’re in, but there are some characteristics most business laptops have in common. Generally speaking, a business laptop is powerful enough to take the place of a desktop PC with a display that’s good enough to take the place of an external monitor for hours at a time. It’s able to run software such as Microsoft Office, has the storage capacity for plenty of documents, it’s durable and it has a high quality keyboard. Other factors such as a full complement of ports and connectivity options, battery life and pre-installed software like Microsoft Windows 8 Pro may also come into play. Here’s what else you need to know before deciding on a business laptop.

Bose has developed quite the reputation for itself. In only 50 short years since its launch, the Bose brand has become both a leader in the consumer electronics pack and synonymous with superior sound quality. Cool gear to stay emergency prepared

1
Did you know that ever year in Canada, the first full week of May is Emergency Preparedness Week? I certainly didn’t, but this event couldn’t have come to my attention at a better time. To be honest, I am completely ill prepared for even the most minor of emergency situations, which is why I am going to fully embrace this year’s theme of Plan. Prepare. Be Aware. If you too think it’s time to get–or beef up–an emergency kit, here is some very cool gear to include that will help you stay prepared.
