All it took was one set of steaks cooked on the T-fal Optigrill Non-stick grill and it was time for my BBQ to step aside and let a handier appliance take over. Here’s what I found out when I tested out the T-fal Optigrill.    

Because I’ve already used a Panasonic microwave for a long time, and the microwave I bought for my new house was a different brand, I was excited to try out the latest Panasonic model, the Panasonic 2.2 Genius Prestige Plus with Cyclonic Inverter Technology; it promises even cooking and defrosting you just can’t find on another microwave.

I was really impressed when I gave the Breville Boss Super Blender a run through for a few days.

Given the fact that bathing suit season is right around the corner and I’ve recently launched myself into an epic mission to get in shape and slim down in record time, I was thrilled to have an opportunity to review the Breville Health Smart Steamer.

When I was asked to try out the Breville Fast Slow Cooker I couldn’t wait. There is a sense of accomplishment I feel when I am extremely organized and think to put dinner in the slow cooker in the morning so dinner is ready when we get home at the end of a long day. Any busy family will love this appliance since it can make a whole meal in one pot with easy clean up.  

I’m one of those people that tend to run hot. Yup, it’s true. I’m that person wearing a tank top in May when the rest of the city is clad in spring jackets. We rely on, and come into contact with, so many modern conveniences on a daily basis that it is easy to lose sight of the fact that not all that long ago many of those conveniences had not yet been imagined, let alone invented. Take the electric mixer for example. Can you fathom making cookie dough or whipping cream entirely by hand? I certainly can’t. Electric mixers are a staple in almost every kitchen, but have only been around for about 100 years, and surprisingly, their history is much more interesting than you would have thought.

Choosing kitchen appliances can be intimidating.  After all, you want an appliance that has multiple useful functions, one that fits with your existing kitchen or possibly into a reno, and to top it all off it’s a major expenditure so you want something that’s going to be a good value for your money.
