What should you look for when buying a dash cam like the many offered by Nextbase? Perhaps you want some protection for you and your family while driving at the lowest price. Nextbase has a wide range of possibilities with their series: 122, 222, 322GW, 422GW, and 522GW models. Alternatively, you may want something that is future-friendly, has the newest technology, and tons of features. They just announced their newest model: the 622GW 4K dash cam. Take some time to learn about Nextbase dash cams to return here to enter for a chance to win one of five that we are giving away.
What are you looking for in a dash cam?
I personally don’t own a dash cam. It’s not that I don’t care about the advantages they offer, I just haven’t got around to buying one yet. But if I was, I would want something in the middle of the Nextbase series: probably a 322GW or 422GW. Perhaps it’s that the review done by Dave Neufeld was extremely persuasive? Or somehow it resonated with me in a way the other Nextbase articles have not. After all, I think all the writers did a great job examining the different models and clearly explaining what they liked and did not like about each: pros and cons. I think what is more likely is that I just like the 422GW most because I feel it’s right for me in a way that I can’t quite explain.
Nextbase keeps raising the bar on what a dash cam can do
Not that I am averse to perfection. I have not seen the new model that was just announced today, the 622GW; nor have I sent it for review—Nextbase haven’t sent me samples yet. But judging from the specifications and features, it is a step above the rest. The features include an impressively clear 4K image at 30 fps, image stabilization, and Amazon Alexa built in. I love that if you are involved in an accident, this dash cam will register the most recent footage as high priority and not let it get recorded over.
So, now your options are bigger. Of course, if you win one of the five prizes in this contest, which include a 122, 222, 322GW, 422GW, and 522GW models, then you can learn from experience what you want in a dash cam. First though, you will need to think about which one has the features you need.
How to enter
Entering this contest is easy, but you can only enter once on this post and once on the article about the new 622GW dash cam. In one comment below each article tell us which features you absolutely need in a dash cam, and which Nextbase model is therefore your favourite. You can do some research before deciding by reading the articles or looking at the product pages (I put all the links you need above).
What you can win
At the end of this contest we will select five (5) winners and randomly assign them to receive one of the five prizes: a Nextbase 122, 222, 322GW, 422GW, and 522GW models. Each prize also comes with a hardwire kit and a carry case that includes a 32 GB microSD card.
This contest runs from August 27th until September 10th.
Remember, you can only enter once. However, you have friends and family who can also benefit by owning one of these Nextbase dash cams, so please share this contest with them.

Good Luck.
I like the Autosync feature that sends crash reports to your smartphoe.
I like the 4K HD video and enhanced night vision; Nextbase 622GW 4K Dash Cam.
I like the night vision the best. The model I would love is the 522 or 622GW
Thanks for the chance
4k resolution for recording clear video and images
The image stabilizer and the fact that it has a feature which will not allow an accident video to be recorded over.
My biggest concern is the image quality since car is constantly moving, therefore Nextbase 622GW 4K Dash Cam is my favourite. It can record at 30fps with image stabilization that takes into account the normal bumps and vibrations.
4K clearity in images and night vision 622GW

The Nexus 622GW

I like the 4K HD video and enhanced night vision; Nextbase 622GW 4K Dash Cam.
Front and rear protection is a feature I love.
front and rear view plus 4k recording the Nextbase 622GW would be my pick
I would like the Nexbase 222. As a senior, I think this would be a good model for me as it has the intelligent parking mode, can put into the cloud, is apparently easy to use. I don’t want a whole lot of gadgetry, just the basics. The reviews are good on this model and I feel it would be perfect for me.
I like . The G-Sensor detects events by impact and protects those clips so that they are not overwritten of the Nextbase 422GW
I definitely need 4k resolution recording therefor 622GW model is right up my alley.
Thanks and GL to all!
The 4K HD video, slow motion recording and enhanced night vision make the Nextbase 622GW my choice.
FullHD and WIFI will be perfect combination with the 322
My wife recently had an accident in which it would have been very helpful to have had a recording of the car that cut her off. The increased image quality and stabilization of the 622GW is something I’m looking for.
I need clear recordings of any accidents I might be involved in.
Looking for reliability and image stabilization to be able to read license plates. 622gw seems to fit the bill nicely!
Best 4K image is the most important. I’d go with the 622gw as it has the image stabilization and extreme weather tech.
I absolutely need 4K recording in a dashcam. Therefore, my favourite Nextbase model is the 622GW.
I like the Wifi option on the Nextbase 322GW – so that I can share the dash cam footage to my smartphone. I also like the 1080p quality.
Image at minimal 30fps, highres 1080p, image stabilization, night vision, auto-record on motion-sense while parked.
Nextbase 622GW with 4k video and image stabilization
The Nexus 622GW with image stabilization & night vision seems to be the right one for me!
Being able to see footage that is clear in any lighting is important along with the always on features that can also record people who might want to do something nefarious like damage or break into your car. Thus, the 522GW is perfect for this! Thanks for offering the contest!
stabilization and nite vision
4K image at 30 fps, image stabilization & night vision are critical to any solid dash cam.
The Nexus 622GW sounds like the right choice.
Concern about image resolution & stabilization and also have location tracking
What hubby needs most is image stabilization, night vision too. I think the 622GW would be perfect for him. I like the emergency services too as he heads out super early in the morning heading to work. Safety features make me feel better. lol
4K HD video and enhanced night vision; Nextbase 622GW 4K Dash Cam!
the 4k resolution is vital to me…
I think it’s important to have a minimum resolution of 1080p so you can make out tough to read license plates, as well as good exposure in dark conditions.
I have been running a dash cam ever since I got in an accident a few years ago. The other driver was honest but had he not been, it would likely have been difficult to determine fault – so the value of a dashcam became apparent. My must have features:
MUST HAVE:
1.) excellent night vision
2.) higher frame rate to ensure license plate capture
3.) image stabilization (I drive a truck!)
NICE TO HAVE:
1.) easy to remove (theft prevention)
2.) option to add a rear camera
The 622GW looks like it does all the basics exceptionally well, and has a bunch of great additional features to make it great to live with day to day.
To me it has to survive Canada’s weather. I have used 3 different dash cams before, and each of them ran into different problems that likely were related to the weather. They either have bad picture when the weather is bad or had problems writing to the SD card when the temperature was low. While the Nextbase ones claim to be made for Canadian weather, I really would like to see if the cams work as promised.
I have been looking for a dashcam that’s easy to setup, use, and withstands Canadian weather. I think the 322 would suit me fine.
The feature I need the most in a dash cam is image stabilization. Therefore, my favourite Nextbase model is the 622GW.
I think the feature I like most is the high definition night vision capability of the 522.
Best image is the most important. I’d go with the 622gw as it has the image stabilization and extreme weather tech.
the only thing i need/want is reliability and a clear image. This 622gw offers both, with image stabilization and extreme weather tech.
The thing I need most in a dashcam is the easiest to use. I am not super tech savvy (my hubby is) and I need to e able to work it and it is simple to use. Nextbase 322GW Full HD 1080p Dash Cam w/ Cabin-View Cam; Carry Case & Hardware Kit -Only at Best Buy sounds like all I need in one easy package.
The night vision feature is amazing. The 422 model with its Alexa capabilities would be my first choice.
Looks very interesting…now use Garmin 35 (5 years plus) …but this has rearview camera which is a big plus.

What I need the most, is the ability to read a license plate even a video clip recorded in moving traffic. I’m hopeful that the higher resolution of the 622GW can deliver that.
