Onkyo Icon 150

Onkyo is known for its high-end audio gear, including speakers, amplifiers, and pre-amplifiers. At CES 2025, Onkyo is showing what’s coming down the pipe for 2025, and there’s a lot to be excited about. If you’re looking to upgrade your home theatre, music listening room, games room, or home office this year, you’ll want to check out their latest innovations. These new additions promise a better, richer audio experience, with options tailored to both everyday listeners and discerning hi-fi enthusiasts.

What’s new from Onkyo at CES 2025

There are two main new series being introduced at CES: the Icon series and the Creator series.

Onkyo Icon series hi-fi systems

Onkyo Icon P80, M80

Defining the Icon series amplification products is a modern chassis, including an aluminum exterior. Along with high-end audio, you’ll also appreciate the upgrade for both style and performance.

This new line consists of three new models: the P-80 network preamplifier, M-80 power amplifier, and A-50 network integrated amplifier. You’ll get features like Dirac Live with optimized music signals, ideal for music aficionados using these in their private listening room. The fan-less design also helps eliminate distracting noise. Onkyo’s own DIDRC (Dynamic Intermodulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry) is designed to improve the sound of analog recordings and offer more stabilized audio signals.

Onkyo Icon P80

Icon P-80 two-channel hi-fi network pre-amplifier

You’ll get plenty of high-tech features in this pre-amplifier, a product that takes signals from your connected devices and sends them to the power amp or speaker to eliminate noise and distortion. Enjoy HDMI ARC, Direct Live Room Correction, Phono stage for connecting a turntable, and a premium stereo DAC.

Connect a multitude of devices via Wi-Fi, Airplay2, Chromecast, and Bluetooth. It’s also Roon Ready to work with the network streaming service for hifi audio playback. You can also play tunes from services like Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, qobuz Connect, Amazon Music, TuneIn, and QQ Music as well. If you subscribe to hifi audio services, you’ll want to consider this model.

Onkyo Icon M80

Icon M-80 two-channel hi-fi power amplifier

With this two-channel amp, which drives signals for a speaker or even pair of headphones, you’ll get a custom high current power supply that provides full-range sound. The aluminum heat sink helps suppress vibrations. Get 200W power from 4 ohms or 150W from 8 ohms through the Symmetrical Class AB amplifier. With an aluminum front panel and fanless design, it’s an ideal option to replace your old power amp.

Onyko Icon A50

Icon A-50 two-channel hifi integrated amplifier

Affording 180W at 4 ohms or 140W at 8 ohms, this hifi integrated amp is ideal for audiophiles who want to get the best audio reproduction of their music. It drives high current signals with minimal distortion, so you get clear audio. It has all the same connectivity options as the others and rigid front panels and works with the same variety of music services.

Onkyo Creator series powered speakers

Onkyo Creator Series powered speakers

Looking for something for your computer room, whether it’s for gaming, work, or other activities? This line of powered speakers will especially appeal to creators and gamers. The focus is on the best sound quality for those who want to hear music as the artist intended.

GX10DB & GX30ARC powered monitors

Both speakers employ modern and stylish designs and come housed in compact enclosures. Ideal for pairing with a desktop, laptop, turntable, or TV, these compact and affordable models afford connectivity options like Bluetooth, USB-C, optical, RCA/iPhone, RCA Sub Pre-Out, and Aux.

Onkyo Creator Series GX10DB

The GX10DB has a 3-inch woofer, ½-inch tweeter, and 34W (17 x 2) power with a Class D amplifier.

Onkyo Creator Series GX-30ARC

The GX30ARC has a 4-inch woofer, ¾-inch tweeter, and 50W (25 x 2) power with a class D amplifier and bi-amp. It also adds HDMI.

Each speaker comes with a speaker stand/base made of premium ABD resin with a grain texture. This material, says Onkyo, helps strengthen the speakers and prevent rattling and moisture weakness. The Creator series models, which will be available in black or white, come with an IR remote.

Amp up your home audio in 2025

If you’re looking for an improved audio experience in your home for 2025, you may want to consider one or more of these new Onkyo products announced at CES. Set to release throughout the year, you’ll find value in each of them—whether you’re upgrading your home theatre, creating a dedicated listening room, enhancing your home office, or elevating your gaming setup.

It’s also worth noting that this year, Onyko, which translates to “sound harmony”, is planning a rebrand. This includes a new logo and a renewed focus on delivering “innovative solutions that will captivate music, movie, and gaming enthusiasts across generations worldwide”. Products will employ warm tones and minimalist designs using natural materials. The goal is to appeal to the “modern, tech-savvy” buyer, and these new products are the first reflections of that.
