Samsung had both conceptual and real life technology on display at their booth.

New technology from Samsung at CES 2020

When it comes to the fun stuff you might see in a Jetsons-esque home Samsung was demoing a robot chef that interacts with you, talks with you, and can help you make food in your kitchen at home. This extra set of hands is dubbed Bot Chef, and while it needs your help, it can automate a lot of kitchen tasks.

Ballie is Samsung’s new conceptual smart digital personal assistant, in robot form. This little rolling robot can answer questions, or detect when your floors are dirty and recommend cleaning. It can also avoid things like furniture and pets too.

Samsung announces new TVs

Samsung is known for their TVs and at CES 2020 they had several examples of what they do best, like the Wall. This giant, modular TV can be created in any size and it uses Samsung’s new Micro-LED technology. MicroLED is similar to OLED in that they emit their own light. They use tiny, LEDs meaning each pixel can be turned on or off individually, or can display a different colour. watch for more on this TV and the technology on the blog in the future.

Samsung sero tvSamsung also debuted rotating TVs at CES this year. You could say these are TVs for the Instagram generation, since they’ll automatically tilt to show your content in the orientation it was shot in; whether that’s vertical or horizontal. Samsung calls this TV the Sero. We definitely want to get hands on with this soon…

Samsung Multi-View TV

Samsung Multiview tvI also saw Samsung TV has Multi-View, which lets you drop your phone screen’s feed right into the side of your regular Samsung TV’s video picture so you can watch the game and keep tabs on what your internet pals are saying about it too. It doesn’t sit over it (so you don’t miss anything), it squeezes to the side, letting you have two screens at once.

samsung serifI also saw the Serif. This TV is designed to look pretty all on its own. With a beautiful  I-beam style design it’ll look just as good off as on.

Samsung Bespoke Refrigerator

Samsung Bespoke refrigeratorSpeaking of looking good, there’s Samsung’s Bespoke refrigerator… this fridge is completely modular meaning you can customize the compartments, layout and even the colour on the front panels to match your space. I’m looking forward to seeing a lot of this new technology in stores soon.

While we wait for it, check out all the cool technology from Samsung at Best Buy.
