Sony produces headphones suitable for all ages. They have premium, best in class, noise cancelling on-ear headphones like the new Sony WH-1000XM4. They also have compact and powerful in ear options like the new Sony WF-SP800N wireless earbuds.   On the Best Buy Blog, we recently reviewed four new headphones by Sony. Read these reviews to learn which is right for your family, then read how to enter this contest for a chance to win one of these headphones.

What kind of Sony headphones does your family need?

Headphones are not a one size or one style fits all kind of technology. Sony headphones come a huge range of styles, sizes, and weights to suit everyone in your family. For example, my wife prefers over-ear headphones whereas I prefer in ears. You may be looking for headphones for a child to take to school and opt for the Sony WH-CH710N Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones due to their light-weight design and price-point. Alternatively, for yourself you may prefer the premium noise-cancellation of the WH-1000XM4 mentioned above to give you peace and quiet while you work from home.

How do you choose the right headphones for each family member

Choosing headphones can be a challenge, especially when shopping online. On the blog we try to make it easier for you with in-depth articles and detailed reviews for you to read and watch. We recently created a guide to help parents understand how to make the right headphone selection for their children. Additionally, we review tons of headphones on the blog. For example, here are the four review videos for the Sony headphones that we are giving away in this contest. We hope that by watching them, you will be better able to make a decision about which ones are right for you and your family.

The style of Sony headphone that is best for my mother is the Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones (e.g. Sony WH-CH710N).

  2. For my daughter, the JBL JR300 headphones, for my husband the Sony WH-CH710N Over-Ear Noise Cancelling headphones and for me the Sony WF-SP800N wireless earbuds.

  3. Both my husband and I prefer the Sony Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones (WH-1000XM4/B). We find that style more comfortable.

  4. Sony In-Ear Noise Cancelling Truly Wireless Headphones (WF-SP800N) for my workouts. Sony Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones for the kids.

  5. I’ve always preferred headphones over buds, although the portability of buds is appealing. Seeing as I do much of my private listening at home,, the Sony Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones would be great. The bluetooth feature is great

  6. I like the noise cancelling Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones. My husband would like the Sony WF-SP800N wireless buds for his workouts.

  7. Either the Sony WH-CH710N or the WH-1000XM4/B would benefit me and my large family greatly due to the fact that they are notoriously a bunch of big mouths lol so the noise canceling feature would come most in handy indeed. Not to mention the excellent 35 hour battery life and Bluetooth capabilities making it possible to use on either my phone or connect to my pc for gaming. Also say I’m not at the house and want to go for a walk? I can easily switch to ambient sound, which is important if you deal with high amounts of traffic and the hands free assistance will make it a breeze to answer phone calls while I’m out as well! All in all over the ear products have the most versatility in my opinion

  8. The WH-CH710H over-ear Noise cancelling bluetooth Head Phones would be great for hubby and I. The Sony WFxXB700 In Ear Truly Wireless Head Phones would be great for the kids.

  9. Sony noise cancelling headphones would be ideal for my mom and dad, especially for travel.

    I prefer wireless Bluetooth headphones.

  10. Sony WH-CH710N Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones would be perfect for my husband

    for my boys

  11. The Sony WH-CH710N Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones would be great for my son, and the Sony WF-SP800N wireless earbuds would be great for me!

  12. WF-XB700 because I like dancing wildly late at night in Zoom parties on Twitch, and sometimes my pirouettes yank my wired headphones off my head, but I don’t want noise cancelling so I can monitor the noise I’m making to make sure I’m not disturbing the neighbours.

  13. Sony In-Ear Noise Cancelling Truly Wireless Headphones (WF-SP800N) in Orange are perfect for me. I have not worn wireless before and would love a pair. The over ear style is not comfortable when you wear glasses (at least I have not found a pair I liked yet as they pinch my ears) – at the orange will help them not get lost. I think they would also be perfect for my sister (but not the orange as she likes less fun colours). My brother would most likely enjoy the Sony WH-CH710N Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones in Blue. Dad would love Sony Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones (WH-1000XM4/B) for his TV privacy. My mom would most likely also love those – but she is not fussy.

  14. My husband and I would love the over the ear noise cancelling headphones – WH-1000XM4
Would be great on a cold day walk. My sons would use the noise cancelling ear buds – WF-SP800N

  15. All of us in the family wind down in the evening to our favorite shows or movie. To avoid conflict the kids use older phones of ours to watch something and use earphones. So they would be comfortable in Sony’s WF-XB700.

My significant other and I would love the Sony WH-1000XM4’s since they have got really great reviews.

  16. I would prefer the Sony Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones because I like all other noise not to interfere in my music. My kids would love the Sony WF-XB700 In-Ear Truly Wireless Headphones because it is not obvious.

  17. I prefer the Noise Cancelling XM4’s for myself as I can connect to my Phone and work Laptop at the same time.
My Wife and daughter would prefer the in-ears as they are wireless, more comfortable and also not bulky.

  18. The Sony over ear headphones (wh-1000xm4/b) would best for my father for Christmas. I am young-ish and cant afford to buy my father a gift like these headphones. It would make my christmas and his.

  19. With home schooling i definitely need earmuffs noise cancelling head phones for them. Especially when you have multiple classes, and working at the same time

  20. Noise cancelling over ear for the wife. The best headphones for me would be the noise cancelling in ear truly wireless headphones.

  21. Sony Over-Ear Noise Cancelling for both my husband and I but the kids prefer the Sony WF-SP800N wireless earbuds.

  22. I like the Sony WF-SP800N wireless earbuds for my husband and I, and the Sony WH-CH710N Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones for our daughter.

  23. My kids would love the he Sony WH-CH710N Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones since they both are in the same room but on different computers doing schooling from home. My wife, who is an avid walker and gardener, would love the Sony WF-SP800N wireless earbuds when she is doing her outdoor activity. I prefer to have over the ear headphones so I would love to use the Sony WH-1000XM4 so I would have the freedom to move around my home office while on zoom calls and listening to music.

  24. I would like the over ear Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones because of the ability to balance the noise cancelling and in-ear headsets tend to hurt my ears. My daughter on the other hand would love the Sony WF-SP800N in-ear headphones as they would be perfect for taking with her when she goes to the library and while studying and listening to music.

  25. I think the WH-CH710N headphones would be best for my nieces and nephews as they really don’t like things put into their ears. My brother, mother, and I would all be up for the WH-1000XM4 headphones for the nose cancelling and sound quality. My sisters would like want the WF-SP800N ear buds cause one works in an active wearhouse area and the other is a program director of an ESL school and dislikes the bulk of her current headset for zoom calls.

  26. My son’s birthday is coming up in a month and it’s quite ironic because he’s been asking for the Sony Wh-1000XM4 since the day they came out. Unfortunately I was laid off recently due to coronavirus, and wouldn’t be able to purchase them due to their hefty $350 price point. If there’s any way I would be able to give it to him for his birthday I would Greatly appreciate it.

  27. Family of 7 here and we all would prefer the Sony Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones. My husband may like the in-ear better.

  28. The Sony WH-1000XM4 would be ideal for my dad or my brother. The Sony WF-SP800N would be ideal for myself.

  29. For our family, the over the ear noise cancelling headphones are great for watching tv. for my husband, while I can use the ear buds to work on my laptop. Open concept living spaces are great, but they don’t work when you both can’t agree on a tv program!
