So many people have Sony on their wishlist at Christmas time. I’m surprised no one has invented a holiday song related to finding Sony under the tree on Christmas morning. Holiday songs are all about traditions we cherish and repeat and I think Sony has become part of many people’s holiday tradition. Don’t we all have a Sony holiday memory? I know I do.

A long, long time ago, I was dying for a portable cassette player: and of course Sony was “the brand” with their Walkman line. There aren’t many gifts from my past that I remember opening, but I can recall unwrapping that bright yellow Walkman Sport like the one shown here—vividly remember!

My first thin LED big screen TV was, and still is, a Sony. I’ve had it for over 13 years now and still love the picture quality. When it finally bids me farewell, the Sony XBR55A8G that we are giving away in this contest would be a fantastic replacement. I sent one of these to Shelly to review and she absolutely loved it for watching the newest movies and even for gaming. The OLED screen really has to be seen to be believed—it is that amazing!   9. I would love to see one of the Rx100 cameras being a part of the holiday experience. It’s such a compact camera that is easy for almost anyone to use, but you are able to get amazing shots that outperform mobile phones.

  10. I have an old blue Sony cassette Walkman somewhere at my parents’ house, one of the originals. That was definitely memorable and new way back when.
    My most vivid Sony memory was 2000 when my Mom and I flew ticketless to see Bruce’s final concerts at Madison Square Garden. Between lining up for tickets each day, one day we went on a tour of MSG. Up in the luxury boxes on display were these brand new mind blowing flat screen TV’s worth an absolute fortune! How far we’ve come since then as flat screen is all there is now and affordable to not only the Uber rich.
    On my Best Buy wish list is a
    Sony AM/FM Radio with Built-In Speaker (ICFP26) LOL. (Other than a TV). I like to listen to the radio at work .
    What I’d really like is a device I can put all our cd’s in to make digital copies and then put them easily on a stick (we have no computer only smartphones and when we did have a computer it seemed far too complex and time consuming to do this). I went from a car with CD changer to a car where I unsuspectingly can’t even play a single CD. I really don’t want to buy ALL that music when I have it on CD’s already. So for now it’s all radio in my car…

  34. I’d like a Sony STR-ZA3100 7.2 Channel 4K Ultra HD Network AV Receiver. It was fun seeing a Sony Sports Walkman on Mr. Robot. I had two, although in a different colour.

  35. I’ve been eyeing a few Sony products- the mirrorless cameras & USB turntable. My love of Sony started as a kid- we had a Sony Trinitron TV and I loved the little Sony sign with the coloured circles so much that I pried it off the tv!

  36. I would like a Sony PS4, in addition to the TV! My memory of a Sony product was a Sony discman I got for Christmas without anti-skip, which I took on a school bus everyday for 4 years. Suffice to say I only know half the lyrics to most songs that came out around that time…
