Star Wars toys keep getting better with each new movie. Two years ago, when “The Force Awakens” introduced the cute droid BB-8, Sphero introduced their incredibly accurate working version of the droid. Star Wars toys are an integral aspect of the experience: many of us grew up playing with them. So with a new movie arriving this year, Best Buy will help ensure this tradition continues by giving away almost $4000 worth of Star Wars toys in this contest! Which one are you dying to add to your collection?

Star Wars toys are not just for kids

Star Wars toys were always the coolest thing around. When we were kids they were cool, and nothing has change: kids today still love them. Interestingly, adults still love them too. They are not just for collectors either. I’ve met many adults who either still have Star Wars toys from when they were a kid, or ones they’ve acquired more recently.

I have a shiny silver Millennium Falcon that I think is great. It sits next to my computer at Best Buy’s head office. I used to have this massive tie fighter (shown in the image on the right) at my desk too. Unfortunately, our office was recently rearranged and it had to be moved. If I was to choose one of the newest toys as a replacement it would definitely be the Propel Speeder Bike Drone shown in the image at the top.

Boost your Star Wars collection with one contest entry

Few people have the dedication, and the good fortune, to have a large collection of Star Wars toys. Enter this contest and that will change. We will give away 2 great collections of this year’s new Star Wars toys as shown here:

Each of these prize packages has intelligent droids, exciting and fun drones, and the just announced, augmented reality wonder: Jedi Challenges—I bet this will be the hottest new toy for Christmas this year!

How to enter

As with all contests on the Best Buy blog, entering is easy. You can enter only once. In a comment below this article, tell us which one of the Star Wars toys in this contest prize is your favourite and why (you must tell us why it’s your favourite).

What you can win

We will randomly choose 2 winners from all eligible entries. One person will be awarded Prize A shown above, and the other will be awarded Prize B. Each prize is worth approximately $1880.

This contest runs from October 20th until November 2nd, 2017.

Remember you can only enter once. With prizes this fantastic, I suggest you increase your chances by telling all of your friends and family to enter too, and propose if any of your win you share the prize! Use the share buttons below to easily post the contest on your social channels.

Good Luck!

  1. The Lenovo Jedi Challenges!! Oh wow! This would be cool!! (Kinda for me too!!) But really, it would be for my two Star Wars crazed boys and their crazy Star Wars dad!! The VR would be awesome for my son – a very amazing thing for him to do during his therapy. A great way to take his mind off of the tough stuff!!

  2. UB TECH STORMTROOPER: This is a wonderful piece of tech. Not to mention it’s such a cute and cuddly little Stormtrooper! Our kids would endlessly use it. The dogs will be wary of it and we will laugh hysterically at it.
The facial recognition and sentry patrol would be great. This could also be such a useful learning tool for our Autistic Daughter.

  3. I would absolutely love to win the LITTLEBITS STAR WARS DROID INVENTOR KIT for my son, Lucas. (By George, you know where his name comes from.) Luc has learning disabilities and has been working very hard in his classes over the past 2 years as he prepares to enter high school next September. His Dad & I are very proud of his progress! Lucas has a love for all things robotic and I can guarantee he would be ecstatic if I actually do, there is no not, it’s worth a try, to win him “a Droid he was looking for”. 😉

  4. I think the best prize would be the Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges VR Kit! Who hasn’t dreamed about being a Jedi, and run around the house with a flashlight, pretending its a lightsaber? I certainly have, but with this incredible piece of technology, my fantasy could become (virtual) reality. Lightsaber duels, holo-chess, and battles for the future of the Galaxy? This is by far my favourite use of VR technology ever!

  5. The Littlebits Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit is my favourite because it involves hands-on assembly to create your own product – I can hardly wait to tackle it with my son …

  6. The LittleBits Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit, this sounds so cool, I would love to see what the Grandkids would make with it

  7. SPHERO STAR WARS R2-D2 APP-ENABLED DROID is my favorite.
    Love R2.
It’s an iconic droid or a common language between generation.
My grandpa loves it, my dad loves it and I love it. 🙂

  8. It is so hard to choose!!! But if I have to it would be the LITTLEBITS STAR WARS DROID INVENTOR KIT! The thought of being able to actually build an R2 with my Star Wars crazy son fills me with so much emotion and joy. I love Star Wars, everything about it, and I have since I was a boy, I didnt think I could love Star Wars anymore than I do, but seeing it again through my beautiful son’s eyes, has been not only amazing for me but has brought us closer together, being able to experience Star Wars generationally with him has brought a fullfillment I didnt anticipate.. And does he ever love Star Wars!! He has the; clothes, movies, video games, cereal, sheets, towels, toys, basically anything we can get our hands on. The difference between our generations is the technology, he can experience a “real” R2 & BB8, can experience our favoritie thing in the world through VR! That’s incredible! Its everything I wished was available to me to as a child and the thought that he can have that experience and that we can experience it together makes me so excited! Either of these packages would mean the world to us 2 Star Wars crazy guys! Ive tried my best to capture and express my thoughts, but there are honestly no words, I can only offer a picture of the pure elation on our faces if we were to win either package. Thanks for the opportunity and here’s hoping!

  9. SPHERO STAR WARS R2-D2 APP-ENABLED DROID, because what can be better than watching Star Wars movies with R2-D2 by your side and having him react to them!

  10. I would love to have the BB-9E from Sphero because I love BB-9E and I think he is a cuter and cooler version of BB-8 ( sorry BB ).

  11. I’d have to say my favourite would be the Sphero BB-9E. I can’t wait to see him in action in the film.

  12. LITTLEBITS STAR WARS DROID INVENTOR KIT
i like R2 the best. and I think this is something i can work with – like a puzzle – with my dad

  13. I’d have to say the tie fighter drone. I’ve always loved drones and their capabilities, tack on the fact that it’s a tie, and the geek in me just goes nuts!

  14. Sphero R2-D2 because it’s Artoo! Do I really need to say more? In case I do, R2 is like a super hero in the SW ‘verse. Aside from maybe a lightsabre – and I have some of those already – what could be cooler. Thanks!

  15. Hard to pick a favorite with so many awesome options! I have to go with the LITTLEBITS STAR WARS DROID INVENTOR KIT as R2 has always been a fav of mine, I have him tattooed with Leia on my arm, and my sons are now fans too! We have the old LEGO R2 Droid set from the early 2000’s and loved it. This would be a great family prize for all of us to enjoy together!

  16. the Sphero Star Wars R2-Q5 , in black is very differnt, very cool , , look very nice in my son’s living room , as a christmas present ..

  17. https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/sphero-star-wars-r2-d2-app-enabled-droid-r201fca-white-blue/10915549.aspx?
I have been in love with the little comedic Astromech Droid R2D2 since I first saw the originals Star Wars a New Hope in 1977. I was 8 years old. I enjoyed the cartoon droids, his adventures in comics and newer movies and cartoons out there. I am avid collector of various R2D2 paraphernalia throughout the years. This would be an awesome toy to add to my growing collection. I currently have the Sphero BB-8 first edition app enabled droid. This R2 unit would make a great pal and companion for BB-8.

  18. I love the UB Tech StormTrooper. I would love to have this and have it patrol around my bedroom for intruders (my kids) and really who doesn’t love a stormtrooper!!I think the facial recognition is a great feature as well.

  19. My favorite is the Littlebits Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit because not only would my son get a kicka** toy but he can build it himself the way he wants to build and design it. It permits him to use his creativity which kids so desperately need in a world like today.

  20. R2D2 droid – this was always my favorite I love all his noises and how in the movies he always seemed to avoid getting destroyed

  21. Well now, this is kind of a difficult choice but I am going to go with UB TECH STORMTROOPER. Why because it would be great to tease the pets with it.

  22. Probably would have to be the UBTECH Star Wars Stormtrooper Robot, as a kid have always liked stormtroopers. So cool they are for sure. Stormtroopers really summarizes star wars nicely, if you see a stormtrooper you immediately know its star wars related.

  23. Definitely the Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges VR. Because it will hopefully tide me over until BestBuy releases real lightsabers!

  24. All the the Star Wars toys from Best Buy lol I only wish but the little guy will do ..Spin Master Star Wars BB-8 Interactive Droid

    cheers

  25. The UBTECH Star Wars Stormtrooper Robot is my favourite and I’d choose it because it would be nice to have at least one ‘person’ listen to me in my house. lol.

  26. R2-D2 is my fav. The BB-8 Rc was cool and the R@ one would be great. Best character of the whole series.

  27. Lenovo Star Wrs: Jedi Challenges looks super awesome. I’ve always wanted to fight the Empire with Jedi powers. This is the closest thing to it being real!

  28. Spin Master Star Wars BB-8 Interactive Droid – I have the smaller version. But to have the larger version follow me around everywhere would be so awesome. I just the little guy!!!!!

  29. OK, it is very hard to have a favorite…. But I would have to pick the UBTECH Star Wars Stormtrooper Robot. I have 2 sons (28 & 22) that would love anything from list. I would totally share with them my grandbabies but I think the Stormtrooper Robot would be mine.

  30. Jedi Challenges would be my favorite here…anything that lets me have a light saber battle will always win

  31. R2-D2 was one of the very first characters seen or I’ve seen in the Star Wars Universe when I was
2 sick to go out and play/school. My father bought our first VCR in the mid 80’s and wanted to surprise me with a movie.
Decided the best movie to make me feel better, was “Star Wars” a Si-fiction for the ages. As being a young boy since
2 i live talk Si-Fi either robots, aliens and space ships 🙂 Fell in love with “Star Wars” in first few moments and R2D2 is one
of my all time favorites, besides Lord Vader , but that another store or contest!

  32. Sphero Star Wars BB9E App Enabled Droid is my favorite because we already have BB8 at home and he would just love to dual BB9E

  33. SPHERO STAR WARS R2-D2 APP-ENABLED DROID

Because R2-D2 has been my absolute favourite since 1994 and I’ve been wanting this little guy since he came out!
